Ramones by Ramones
Feb 05 2026

Easy to see how this album/band influenced the sound of punk rock. Several of their songs sound very similar, but ooze the essence of punk rock. 3/5

She's So Unusual by Cyndi Lauper
Feb 09 2026

What Madonna tries to emulate. Loved listening to other Lauper songs I did not know. Fun vibe

Jazz Samba by Stan Getz
Feb 11 2026

Fun, upbeat background music. Something I would easily throw on for a dinner party or a lively date night at home. Not something I would put on for actual listening. 2/5

American Idiot by Green Day
Feb 12 2026

The epitome of what I think when I hear Green Day. Classic punk rock album. Tells a story through the songs, which is not something I see much now. Thought adapting this to a Broadway musical was odd before, but after listening completely understand why! 5/5

Joan Armatrading by Joan Armatrading
Feb 13 2026

Slow, boring, and not my style. Not something I would ever listen to. Would turn off if it came on the radio, although I think it has an audience, just not me. 1/5

Smash by The Offspring
Feb 16 2026

Love the punk sound, as it is my fav genre. Slaps hard

Axis: Bold As Love by Jimi Hendrix
Feb 17 2026

Wow! I knew Jimi Hendrix could play a mean guitar, but his music is transcendental. Easy listening + Rock + psychedelic vibes, all on top of being the master of guitar. Blew me away! 5/5

Madman Across The Water by Elton John
Feb 18 2026

Classic Elton John sound. Tiny Dancer starts things off great, but the hidden gem is Indian Sunset. Razor Face also slaps. The rest of the album is fairly meh to me. Elton John definitely has better albums, even if all his music is good. 3/5

Loveless by My Bloody Valentine
Feb 19 2026

Very encompassing. Feels like getting blasted by a wall of sound. Did not finish due to overstimulation. 1/5

Rip It Up by Orange Juice
Feb 20 2026

Fun and jazzy, but also poppy. Gives me Sing Street vibes.

Red Headed Stranger by Willie Nelson
Feb 23 2026

Never listened to Willie much, but this album is incredible. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this, as I am not normally a country fan

Californication by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Feb 24 2026

Epitome of RHCP. Exactly what I would expect from them. Classic California sounds that makes me feel like I am in LA.

Darkdancer by Les Rythmes Digitales
Feb 25 2026

Great dance songs! Got me moving in my chair at work. Would throw on for a party for sure

Songs From A Room by Leonard Cohen
Feb 26 2026

Not the greatest voice, but the lack of perfection adds a sense of raw realness that is missed in a lot of today's music. Feels gritty and heartfelt in a way I have not heard in a long time. 3/5

System Of A Down by System Of A Down
Feb 27 2026

Definitely feels like what I think of when I hear System of a Down. Heavy metal, but with an intent. Love the political messaging in several songs. For sure dig this. 4/5

Blood Sugar Sex Magik by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Mar 02 2026

Did not enjoy as much as Californication, but the album grows as it goes on

Bryter Layter by Nick Drake
Mar 03 2026

Jazzy and folksy at the same time. Not bad for a cozy day. Relaxing, but not boring or slow. 3/5

Thriller by Michael Jackson
Mar 04 2026

Exactly what I think of when I think Michael Jackson. It is no surprise he was a massive star when you listen to this album. 5/5

Mar 05 2026

Not my cup of tea. Love the introspective aspect of the lyrics, but I personally would never listen for my own pleasure. 2/5

Mar 06 2026

Feels fairly generic. Does not really move the needle for me. Decent sound at least. 2/5

Fear Of Music by Talking Heads
Mar 09 2026

Once again, this album gives Sing Street vibes. Easy rock, but fun and nice to listen to. 3/5

1984 by Van Halen
Mar 10 2026

Amazing album. At times feels like a Van Halen greatest hits album. Classic Rock at its finest. 5/5

The Contino Sessions by Death In Vegas
Mar 11 2026

Feels like the soundtrack to an edgy movie, but not a good one... 1/5

In Rainbows by Radiohead
Mar 13 2026

First experience with Radiohead. My favorite songs from this are the ones that feel haunting and heavy, even if the music is not

Cheap Thrills by Big Brother & The Holding Company
Mar 16 2026

Moody, vibey, and pulls you in. Loved listening to this album. 4/5

Darkness on the Edge of Town by Bruce Springsteen
Mar 17 2026

Never really listened to the Boss, outside of his big hits, but this feels like classic Americana rock. Distinct voice goes great with the music. 4/5

Superunknown by Soundgarden
Mar 23 2026

Very good classic grunge sound. Some classic hits on this album

Electric Warrior by T. Rex
Mar 24 2026

Feels like something from the 60s/70s, but a couple of bangers on this album
