Aladdin Sane by David Bowie
May 05 2026

Rock n roll feel on some songs with influence from the stooges ie panic in detroit. Yet some songs such as the jean genie with heavy blues influence. Quite a varied album yet pretty much all have a psychedelic feel to them with off key piano solos etc

Abbey Road by Beatles
May 06 2026

Exceeded previous expectation of Beatles being a boring band. Found out their ballads for example "something" were simple yet beautiful. I also noticed that whilst prog rock wasnt created at the time, they had the basis of the sound especially in "i want her so bad" and ""because". Paul McCartney's vocals on "oh darling" were phenomenal and he is someone i severely underestimated as a vocalist, being able to switch vocals from tender to raspy brilliantly. Would have rated a 5 outta 5 if it wasnt for "maxwells silver hammer" and "golden slumbers"

Tidal by Fiona Apple
May 07 2026

Catchy, and warm vocals, just a solid easy listen album with some great songs borderline 4

Exile On Main Street by The Rolling Stones
May 10 2026

Better than the kinks with some good songs but does just sound like a standard rock and roll album to me

On The Beach by Neil Young
May 11 2026

Bit dull for me might have to give it a relisten as it seems to have really good reviews but imo its incredibly slow and lacks a bit of edge. Loved the song ambulance blues though the vocal melody was brilliant

Tea for the Tillerman by Cat Stevens
May 12 2026

Very nice acoustic album served its purpose well, although long boats is genuinely a dreadful song unfortunately. 7.5 outta ten

Gorillaz by Gorillaz
May 13 2026

Really liked the lo fi vibe on lots of the songs but some of the rapping wasn't really for me. Overall nice album

New York Dolls by New York Dolls
May 14 2026

Didnt listen fully, got through like 3 quarters but not really for me yet some elements i liked

Picture Book by Simply Red
May 15 2026

Cool album but would never really add to playlist due to its simplicity

Aja by Steely Dan
May 16 2026

Very very vanilla feels like mediocre holiday resort music but the production on this album is absolutely outstanding for this genre, crisp cymbals and really good flute production aswell as a refined guitar sound. Shame the music was basic

May 17 2026

This app atm got everything twisted. The album that should be on here is new day rising or zen arcade, not only did this album put Dü in a bad light it didnt even represent their best let alone their most influential albums, they only put on the albums that were endorsed by major record labels. Husker Dü were a great band yet got sold out by major record labels, this app acc pmo. This album jus sounds like a REM copy, isnt absolutely dreadful but disappointing, especially as the app put one of their worst albums out

Here Are the Sonics by The Sonics
May 20 2026

Respect the influence but very plainz and afterall this app is for rating music over influence

Rain Dogs by Tom Waits
May 22 2026

A weird cool album yet sounds dreadful to my ears

Urban Hymns by The Verve
May 26 2026

Quite a fun album to listen to with some great production, underestimated how good the verve were. Although personally i would probably find some songs to become boring very quickly. Overall good album borderline 4

London Calling by The Clash
May 30 2026

Liked the album and does have incredible influence yet there are just some forgettable songs imo ill need to listen again. Quite an overrated album musically, high 3

Let Love Rule by Lenny Kravitz
Jun 03 2026

Started off well yet fell off hard in the mid to late section

Sign 'O' The Times by Prince
Jun 06 2026

Nice interesting album yet not really for me a bit too theatrical

Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park
Jun 09 2026

Great album had fun listening to it. Generally overhated in the music world but i think its an actually enjoyable listen whilst it may not be the most musically advanced im still happy. Loved the mixing on this album aswell

The White Room by The KLF
Jun 10 2026

Started off strong being a high 4 album then fell off bad towards the end

Green Onions by Booker T. & The MG's
Jun 13 2026

Cool album sounds more like a movie or video game soundtrack yet was simple and effective. However would never put this on by myself

Rip It Up by Orange Juice
Jun 14 2026

First track very strong then was decent after but got a lil samey

Electric Ladyland by Jimi Hendrix
Jun 15 2026

Pure joy to listen to, loved the vocals and the guitar tone is so brilliant. Nothing really to add as all other reviews would say the same things as me so no point going in depth. Such a blueprint for music

Jun 20 2026

Great album imo although not a fan of some of kanyes style, and some of the production sounded slightly corny but overall a great album except from monster which is ahh

Darklands by The Jesus And Mary Chain
Jun 21 2026

Love jesus and mary chain especially their debut album psychocandy, aswell as this album in certain ways. All the songs are very simple, some are brilliantly simple like down on me and darklands, yet some other tracks lack edge. Overall part of their more pop infused career, starting to stray away from the scarier part of their career. High 3

Foxbase Alpha by Saint Etienne
Jun 22 2026

Absolute great album, great vocals and mixes club music with shoegazy elements, only criticism is that it feels slightly dated

Viva Hate by Morrissey
Jun 26 2026

Loved this album even though morrissey is a bit of a twat sometimes. Liked the instrumentals and the pop infused rhetoric within, Brazilian cousin said it sounded like British music you could listen to on a rainy day on a red bus in London by the Big Ben, I think she was right. Only downfall is some of the songs tried too hard to be sad

The Stone Roses by The Stone Roses
Jun 28 2026

One of my favourite indie rock albums from the uk, is in the debate for one of the best debut albums of all time which helped bridge the gap between post punk and britpop beautifully. Loved the guitar tones on this and has an easy listenable sound for any occasion . Comfortable 5

Gentlemen by The Afghan Whigs
Jul 18 2026

Bog standard 90’s alt album in which most of that genre for me has aged like milk. Some minor decent bits but overall sounded a bit cringe, vocals ruined basically all of it

Rumours by Fleetwood Mac
Jul 21 2026

Only songs that just about strike a nerve are ‘you make loving fun’ and ‘the chain’. Even then bit of a boring album I don’t understand the insane hype over this album, first impressions are dated country music
