I don't think anyone outside sweden can understand how annoyingly everywhere Abba was when we grew up. Now i realise it's perfectly competent m.o.r pop and I still can't stand it.

It's rather uneven but inbetweeen the wtf:ness there are fantastic moments when the singer reaches the hights of Jimmy Sommerville

I thought I didn't like Rocket From The Crypt, because I had only heard that sort of annoyingly catchy On A Rope that was everywhere when it came out. Now I realise they're actualy effing great, that the Hives stole everything they didn't borrow from International Noise Consipracy from the Crypt, and have gone on to discovere the member's precious even better bands Drive Like Jehu and Pitchfork. Brilliant!

This is a weird collection of songs – if that is a appropriate description. Every cut is equally stupid and gorgeously fantastic from the "ultimate" "postmodern" "rock" "band". I feel like a lot of american alternative guitarband hits from the mid 90s onwards were a carbon copy of some song or other from this album with the edges filed down and made palatable for generic audience. The wild drumming! The talk-singing! The nonsense lyrics that sorta make sense! The cord progressions, droning guitars and the melodies! Summer babe! No life singed her! Conduit for Sale! Two States! Every song is a hit with no chance of ever being a mainstream hit (that's for later records). There's nothing here that I do not love.

I am utterly beplexed and perwildered. Wrf did i actually just listen to and why do i kinda like it? Is there even an it there? I don't know!

What can I even say, every track is amazing

Better than I expected! First Teenage album i've appreciatied.

This sounded more like the best of american r&b and a little less, i guess, british, than I would've thought after only hearing Dy-na-mi-tee.

I've always had the feeling that there's something about Boston (the band) that I can't stand, but I've never actually listened to a whole album before. Turns out it's more than a feeling; Boston (the band) seems to me the very definition of everything I hate about rock music. This record has no (zero) redeeming qualities. It has in fact no qualities at all but now at least I can say with confidence that I really can't stand Boston (the Band).

God only knows is pure fucking magic. And the rest is really good as well.
