Graceland by Paul Simon

I'm sorry I do not get it I hate it actually - would rather listen to authentic African music than this weird shit. i fucking can't stand this at all. holy fuck.

Brothers by The Black Keys

corporate fungus! i only listened to two songs! first album i refused to listen to all the way! i am allergic to the black keys!

Transformer by Lou Reed
Jun 12 2026

I liked a lot of the songs but a lot of the lyrics brought me in and out of the songs. Specifically Walk On the Wild Side. Goodnight Ladies sucked - did not like that song at all. Easy to listen to, not too harsh on the brain. Lou was an interesting character.

Meat Is Murder by The Smiths
Jun 14 2026

the vocals got so dreadful after a while. loved johnny marr's guitar playing. i would have loved this if i listened when i was younger. i think the guitar playing would have changed my life. it's incredible. but this album drones for me. the lyrics are also not as amazing and poetic as everyone says. i agree meat is murder though

Cypress Hill by Cypress Hill
Jun 15 2026

second song is a damn masterpiece. album is great. beats are awesome. voices are unique. loved it a lot. so much better than the albums (the smiths and lou reed- boring) i've listened to so far. glad i listened to this. hole in your head! in your mother fuckin' head! so damn sick.

Parklife by Blur
Jun 16 2026

better than i expected. guitar tone is great. some songs are very creative. some dumb and annoying. good enough album but it should have ended 9 songs in. definitely didn't need to be that long and definitely didn't need to hear this before i die.

The Doors by The Doors
Jun 17 2026

It sure is Jimmy Morrison doin' the sing sing thang

Slayed? by Slade
Jun 19 2026

why do i need to hear this before my demise?? it was fun and groovy tho

Graceland by Paul Simon
Jun 20 2026

I'm sorry I do not get it I hate it actually - would rather listen to authentic African music than this weird shit. i fucking can't stand this at all. holy fuck.

Yeezus by Kanye West
Jun 21 2026

The lyrics are dog shit. Misogynistic dog shit. I'm good, dude. I feel evil listening to this - there's some evil ass energy here. Some of the music was absolutely very cool and some of it was fucking chaotic and stupid. The production is wonderful but I wish it was just an instrumental album honestly lmao. I won't talk about him as a person - we all know. So many bad people are fans of Kanye as well. He draws in bad, evil energy and I can feel it when I listen to the music he made passed 2008. No way. Hold My Liquor was the worst song I've heard in weeks or even years?? Blood On The Leaves ??? holy fuck can a song be more excruciating then this? Poor Billie Holiday - she didn't deserve that. fuck this album it's bad! it's not good. One of the worst albums I've heard on this list so far. Sack of shit. 2 stars for the instrumentals only.

Juju by Siouxsie And The Banshees
Jun 22 2026

A masterpiece through and through from a masterful band. guitar work is unreal. Siouxsie's voice is unreal. I love this album and always will. It is a piece of music I will cherish forever. Happy to listen to it in full again as it's been a very long while. Some albums on this list piss me off - but I am truly glad this one was here. I had to listen to Yeezus right before this and wanted to rip my skin off. Now, I feel very happy and my skin does too.

KIWANUKA by Michael Kiwanuka
Jun 23 2026

Not a bad album at all. beautiful opening track and beautiful production and instrumentation throughout the entire thing. Amazing voice. I think it's slow atmosphere and songs got a bit boring and hard to listen to after a while but it is a beautiful album, no doubt about that

KE*A*H** (Psalm 69) by Ministry
Jun 24 2026

….??? I have nothing to say but I fucking love this. Unique and weird and ugly and smelly and gross. Had such a good time listening. This is music definitely for white people with dreads so I'm quite shocked at how much this punched me in the face. I never thought I’d be a Ministry fan - though, I have only really heard a couple songs in my life. Really and truly didn't think I'd like this as much as I did. This is really fucking fun. I feel like rolling down a enormous muddy hill up to hell to ask God some questions. People who hate this are hilariously boring.

Kala by M.I.A.
Jun 25 2026

Paper Planes is a masterpiece and she duped everyone into thinking she was good at music

Vol. 4 by Black Sabbath
Jun 26 2026

For some reason Black Sabbath's ballads are not my thing. Changes never moves me and i've never really liked that song but the rest of the album is very great.

Figure 8 by Elliott Smith
Jun 27 2026

this will be the 201 millionth time i've listened to this probably but this album means a lot to my life and I know it like the back of my hand masterpiece nothing compares miss you elliott

Sunshine Superman by Donovan
Jun 28 2026

Didn't expect to like this as much as I did. Really great songwriting. Soft but not dragging or sleepy. Just perfectly soft and pleasant. I had a sweet and comforting time hearing this. Plush

1977 by Ash
Jun 29 2026

so fucking boring. I will say I liked the singers voice a lot but hoooly crap rock and roll can be so fucking stale man. is it so much to ask to write a catchy song??? something that fucking HITS you immediately and feels soulful and meaningful? Not everyone needs to make music and release it. I always say music nowadays is crap but the 90's had serious fucking duds. once again, i didn't need to hear this before I die - nothing music. Rather would listen to some teenage fanclub - they do this kind of music perfectly. This will be forgotten by me in about 2 days. Don't remember a single melody.

You Want It Darker by Leonard Cohen
Jun 30 2026

The poetry was beautiful. Idk if I cared for the music or songs as much. Love Leonard abundantly - brilliant poet and songwriter. This one, as heartbreaking as it is, doesn’t catch me as his other works do. Title track is absolutely life altering, though. Listening to Leonard Cohen makes me want to live as long as I possibly can on this hell rock just to keep experiencing the greatest feeling of love over and over and over again. Although this album doesn’t hit me like his other works, I’ll never deny the precious and delicate genius this man had.

Our Aim Is To Satisfy by Red Snapper
Jul 01 2026

A mediocre palate cleanser for the next shitty fuckass album this list makes me listen to

The Undertones by The Undertones
Jul 02 2026

the lyrics were a bit rancid at times (and i don't mean the band Rancid; i mean that the lyrics were smelly and gross) but the music was good and it was easy to listen to - nice guitar tones and if i didn't have a bunk knee i would have been dancing

Blue Lines by Massive Attack
Jul 03 2026

Wonderful album. Won't lie, at the beginning of it I was thinking "oh I'm gonna fucking hate this I know it" but I proved me wrong. I had a very nice time with this. Crept up on me forreal. If I still drank wine, this record would be drunkenly danced to 10 times a day.

Damaged by Black Flag
Jul 05 2026

Classic, of course. There are much more iconic punk albums from this time that are better but I do get why this is here. It was good to listen to this again.

Jul 06 2026

yeah, honestly younger me was onto something - this was my favorite album many years ago but i hadn't listened in forever. Still love it. Still dear to my heart. never expected to see this on this list. happy it's here.

Led Zeppelin III by Led Zeppelin
Jul 07 2026

fuck!!!!! i thought i was gonna hate it but it was too good. the way the drums are mixed, the guitar solos, everything. i loved it so much. lyrics were kind of weak but my god are these songs beautiful. Sucks that such terrible men made this. Seriously what an outright shame. I wish men were better.

With The Beatles by Beatles
Jul 08 2026

I'd give it a 3 since it is an important album for rocknroll muzak but i didn't like this very much at all and i'd probably never come back to it. Just covering Black music for the public to be like "Oh joy! those clear boys are doin' it so i don't gotta guiltily listening to the Blacks do it anymore!" It's bland and gimmicky. cheap and trashy!!!!!!!! can't wait to hear a better Beatles album on here - i do really like them but this smells

At San Quentin by Johnny Cash
Jul 09 2026

absolutely incredible. perfect album. so funny. so entertaining the entire time. I'm so happy to listen to this. I think this is one of the best albums of all time.

Manassas by Stephen Stills
Jul 10 2026

What?

Seventeen Seconds by The Cure
Jul 11 2026

A Forest is maybe one of the best songs I’ve ever heard. So for that alone, this album deserves all of its flowers. Absolutely incredible guitar work. Incredible and distinct vocals. Their live performance of this song in 1992 is perfection. Look it up if you’re interested. This album gets a 5 from me. Just want to sink into it like a cloud.

Basket of Light by Pentangle
Jul 12 2026

Fuck no fuck you fuck this I feel like I’m back in fucking church! this is giving me fucking flashbacks to kneeling on a fucking pew and singing psalms with creepy Catholic men! why the fuck IS THIS ON HERE FUCK NO Like someone said, the musicianship and instrumentation can be commended while the whole album is still unlistenable.

Paris 1919 by John Cale
Jul 13 2026

Honestly, not as good as i remember it to be. Fear is a much better album as a whole. I’m sorry 2 John, I do love him and think he is brilliant but it didn’t hit for me like it used to.

Bayou Country by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Jul 14 2026

some of the songs sounded like jack black singing in school of rock which is why i liked it

Brothers by The Black Keys
Jul 15 2026

corporate fungus! i only listened to two songs! first album i refused to listen to all the way! i am allergic to the black keys!

Autobahn by Kraftwerk
Jul 16 2026

it took me 20 years to get through the title track for some reason - although i've listened to it before, it felt more grating to get through this time around. I still had a good time. I need to be in the proper headspace for this one I think. Still very calming. Beautiful soundscapes. I feel like being the perfect amount of wine drunk in a plane; trying to find even an ounce of comfort being dangerously in the sky for hours drifting in and out of sleep is where I’d want to be hearing this for the first time.

It's Blitz! by Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Jul 17 2026

I really enjoyed this. Nostalgic and uplifting. Never heard any of the other songs besides the hits. It was a cute and fun listen. The energy was warm; and made me really miss these times. I miss being carefree and listening to sweet indie music like this smoking weed with my pals. Left me in a good mood. Simple & to the point. The only thing was that it felt very very safe at points but I didn't mind it as much as I usually do. Safe music is good for the emotional regulation sometimes, you know? It's good for the body to just hang out and be. It just got a bit boring-ish towards the end. Filler songs and that. Anyway, thanks Karen O for the tunes. (just because I gave it a 3 doesn't mean I didn't enjoy this - a 4 is just a little too high for me to justify)

Back At The Chicken Shack by Jimmy Smith
Jul 18 2026

loved it, nothing bad to say. I will say I got a bit exhausted towards the end but i did love it.

Jul 19 2026

Makes me feel like I'm dying and not in a good way. flow sucks. beats are alright sometimes. It was a holy fucking shit god damn fucking chore to get through this. I'd rather wash my dishes in silence and clean a shitty toilet than listen to this. After "The Animist" came on I actually felt like I was going to scream. What a headache.

Rumours by Fleetwood Mac
Jul 20 2026

The hits make this album what it is. Those songs hold masterpiece status and always will. Some filler songs that were a bit slow and boring. Lindsey Buckingham thinks he’s John Lennon sometimes. That’s ok. I always think about how he doesn’t use a pick. Unreal. I understand why people consider this an important classic album and I do agree with that sentiment. Oh Daddy is a terrible song though just had to add some ice cold Hate-orade on this hot Seattle day!

Stankonia by OutKast
Jul 21 2026

fucking brilliance spewing out of this album - just perfect. no fucking notes. some of the iciest, coolest cats to ever do it.

My Aim Is True by Elvis Costello
Jul 23 2026

This is mixed terribly the guitar parts are so fucking bland I’m so bored this makes me hate rock n roll music this is not what jimi died for!! so damn flavorless

Since I Left You by The Avalanches
Jul 24 2026

I enjoyed it some of the time - some very beautiful moments. I was annoyed by it some of the time as well. Don't know if I'd go back to it much though.

White Blood Cells by The White Stripes
Jul 25 2026

I knew already that I wouldn't like this very much. I really think The White Stripes are boring as fuck - first song is actually great though. The riff rules and I like that the guitar is out of tune. But the lyrics???? God damn they're not good. I think Ty Segall did this sound better years later, though Jack's riffs are pretty good until he starts singing the worst most nothing lyrics ever - don't enjoy his voice either. Seems like a solid fella though. Doesn't take away from the fact that I do not like this! This app paused bc i waited so long to listen- i was dreading it lmao. Overall, rock music is so damn boring sometimes, brother. Also the song where he blatantly rips off all apologies lmfao

Rain Dogs by Tom Waits
Jul 26 2026

Favorite Tom waits hands down. A classic. A bold and perfect piece of art.

Sunday At The Village Vanguard by Bill Evans Trio
Jul 27 2026

Can never give Bill Evans anything but a five. Feel good every time I listen - gorgeous playing. gorgeous mix. beautiful album.

Heroes by David Bowie
Jul 28 2026

I don't enjoy a lot of David Bowie's discography although i can acknowledge that he is one of the greats to many people. I should like him; He's my kind of weird, his music really speaks to people whom I respect and call friends. I honestly loved this album - wasn't sure what I was in for since I'm so hot and cold off of his music in general. It was groovy. Emotional. Fun. To the point. The overdubs on the last song were really groovy. I had a great time hearing this in full for the first time ever. I still don't love him and still haven't warmed to most of his work (besides Low), but I finally understand. I'm sure my time will come.

Joan Armatrading by Joan Armatrading
Aug 13 2026

Brilliant. those instrumentals? that voice? fucking brilliant. My ears and my brain feel lucky to have gotten to hear this.

Crosby, Stills & Nash by Crosby, Stills & Nash
Aug 14 2026

The vocals perfect. The songs great. I wouldn’t listen to this everyday but I just moved into a house with a fireplace so once I’m covered in winter depressed as a ghost, I know what I’ll be listening to. This is the blueprint for all the mediocre white men trying to make music like this in 2026

Lost In The Dream by The War On Drugs
Aug 15 2026

Really liked the first song then it started all sounding the exact same to the point I thought the first song was like 20 minutes. This is what people were talking about all this time saying I need to listen to this band? It’s like millennial Bruce Springsteen which isn’t bad sometimes but mostly I’m good
