Man I don't know... This feels like a bad rating but I just couldn't do it. I can't deny the musicianship and the importance that this record has but just musically it did not click. It felt so long and bloated. Every track just goes on and on. The ballads just feel so corny.. When he gets groovy and funky that's when Stevie shines, he's previous two records I feel are far more innovative and exciting. Idk man... It's just kinda corny through and through im sorry. Isn't she lovely does slap though

Pretty standard UK new wave stuff here, kind of forgettable when compared to other better bands of the time (xtc). As a new wave head this one was just... Fine I guess 🤷🏻‍♂️

Perfect blend of silly new wave nonsense with early post punk defiance. 6060842 rules. This album would be better without rock lobster

I didn't understand steely Dan until I got a BBQ, and then it all clicked. Contemplated giving it a 5, but that felt a little cheeky. Not my favourite Dan record but boy are there some hot hot tunes on this

Kinda hard to rate this one, I love TG, one of the most ahead of its time records. Genesis p orridge is one of the coolest people in music. It's just hard to rate because as much as I love this band, I can really only listen to a full album like once a year cause they're tough. That doesn't stop me from Dj-ing Ab/7a whenever I can, very cool tune. This ain't no 20 jazz greats though I will say

There was a lot I dug here, kinda sounds made for me. Shoegaze, Britpop, noise, creation records... But this thing was veryyyyy bloated. Way to long, cut like 20 minutes and all the weird reggae rhythms and we'd be cooking. Also the dynamics in the mix are insane
