Odelay by Beck
Aug 31 2026

I don't hate this but surprised how little it's held up for me since I first fell in love with it when I was little and it was new. For me, at least, I think my reaction to it at the time was probably relying on me not having listened to very many hip hop records. This might be the last time I put it on on purpose.

Diamond Life by Sade
Sep 01 2026

I only knew the first two songs which are gorgeous expensive odes to men who Fuck. but there are also several other good songs for men who cannot fuck.

The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails
Sep 03 2026

This one has never worked for me as a record even though I love Pretty Hate Machine. Too much screeching groove and not quite enough moody piano stuff. The second half just mostly loses me until Hurt. Still I'm not negative on it.

Aqualung by Jethro Tull

Vespertine by Björk
Sep 10 2026

sounds great but can't be higher for me because i can't imagine myself coming back to this one, just like i didn't in 2001.

Djam Leelii by Baaba Maal
Sep 17 2026

Sounds great. I don't know that I was so caught up that I'll return to it.

I have never been able to think his voice sounds cool but I liked the songs more than expected

Shaka Zulu by Ladysmith Black Mambazo

Almost 4. Something about the affect is off-putting but the songs are strong.
