At Folsom Prison by Johnny Cash

A great storyteller through a rich dark voice. It's nice to have the imperfections and see the human element throughout his performance at Folsom. 5/5

Highway to Hell by AC/DC
Oct 09 2026

Shout out Ron! This album is heavily carried for me by 3 songs. Highway to Hell is an all-time classic, Beating Around the Bush, and If You Want Blood (You've Got It). The rest of the songs are a little less memorable to me and just another 4/4 Rock rhythm. 4/5 would be higher if more songs stood out to me more.

3 Feet High and Rising by De La Soul
Oct 12 2026

90s boom bap rap and maybe it was me, but the band track overpowered the vocals making it drowned out. 3 songs on this 23 song album were good, "(3 Is) The Magic Number", "Eye Know", and "Me Myself and I". I would give this a higher rating but there were some songs that carried the album and the rest were bad. I'm looking at you "De La Orgee"

Moondance by Van Morrison
Oct 13 2026

Easy listening and not overplayed like Brown Eyed Girl. Instantly my mind takes me to the Big Lebowski bowling alley. I can see the bowling ball roll down the lane and hear murmurs of casual conversation amongst bowlers. "And It Stoned Me" and "Moondance" are top contenders. I dig the jazzy rock with a slow rolling drum beat and horns coming in. 4/5

Oct 14 2026

I was not familiar with this band, and listening to this I described to my friend it sounds like "Low Rider" and started talking about how much I hated that song when it would play on late night TV when George Lopez would be jumping across the screen. Turns out it is the same band. This is clearly not my type of music. "City, Country, City" 13 minutes of percussion and bass lines is 13 minutes I will never get back. " Beetles in the Bog" sounds like Oompa Loompa music. Great album art though. 1/5.

Gorillaz by Gorillaz
Oct 15 2026

I find it funny how I complain about other albums just sounding like noise. But for Gorillaz it just works for me. The album is a good blend of genres done well. There are some hidden gems amongst giants like "Clint Eastwood" like "Latin Simone (Que Pasa Contigo)", "M1 A1", and "Left Hand Suzuki Method" I love these songs and you wouldn't expect them in this album. 5/5

Natty Dread by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Oct 16 2026

On my way to my shift at the Coffee Shop in Club Penguin.

At Folsom Prison by Johnny Cash
Oct 20 2026

A great storyteller through a rich dark voice. It's nice to have the imperfections and see the human element throughout his performance at Folsom. 5/5

Ray Of Light by Madonna
Oct 21 2026

The backtracks are very 90s futuristic underwater feeling and are ok. I feel like all the songs are missing some oomph. I feel Madonna has stronger albums than this. I appreciate the vibe, but the songs just aren't doing it for me. Sorry girlies.

Wild Wood by Paul Weller
Oct 22 2026

At first I was into the the groove, but then it just stayed there. Not a bad listen just sounds pretty uninspired. All songs are mid and fall short with nothing standing out. 2/5

Opus Dei by Laibach
Oct 23 2026

What is even going on... a cover of Queen's "One Vision" but in totalitarian German? I would rather just listen to Queen. How did this album make this list?

Nevermind by Nirvana
Oct 26 2026

Genuinely made my Friday seeing peak after the slop. Easy 5/5 Some songs felt weaker but overall a killer album with so many all-time hits.

My Aim Is True by Elvis Costello
Oct 27 2026

Opening with "Welcome to the Working Week" was a bit too fitting for this Monday morning. It's a good listen but something I would only listen to once. "Blame it on Cain" had a good rolling beat. To me this is Ruby's Diner music coming from the jukebox in the back with the rainbow lights and bubbles floating up. 2/5

3 + 3 by The Isley Brothers
Oct 28 2026

I don't think funk/soul is my thing... There are some classics and starts off with one, but not something I'd come back and listen to. The songs are good but I just don't mesh with it. 2/5

Odessey And Oracle by The Zombies
Oct 29 2026

There is a weird contrast between the cheery happy melodies but the lyrics are pretty dark which is interesting. Songs more or less blend together and have a similar sound. "Time of the Season" which is a classic is a total different sound from the trip happy sound of the rest of the album and stands out. 2/5

Aja by Steely Dan
Oct 30 2026

Don't think I've gotten around to solely listening to Steely Dan, but I should have sooner. Sounds a lot like other bands I like such as Yes and Masayoshi Takanaka. 4/5

Back In Black by AC/DC
Nov 02 2026

Shout out Ron pt. 2! This album sounds more fleshed out compared to prior albums and unique with several classics in it. A true masterpiece 5/5

Dirt by Alice In Chains
Nov 03 2026

I'm back in the gym! I have a couple of songs from this album on my regular playlist. Solid Album and a good listen. 4/5

Next by The Sensational Alex Harvey Band
Nov 04 2026

Kind of loud with no hooks, and the lyrics are pretty unimaginative. 2 min instrumental intro to "The Faith Healer" is a choice. The song that got the album title "Next" was by far the worst song on the album. 2/5 won't listen to it again though, it just wasn't awful.

Cheap Thrills by Big Brother & The Holding Company
Nov 05 2026

My heart sank when I saw the album art, thinking I was about to listen to some slop album. Thank god, it is Janis Joplin. Some of the slop on this list is getting to me. 4/5

School's Out by Alice Cooper
Nov 06 2026

The year is 2007. Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock hits the shelves and a little young me picks up his plastic guitar with conspicuously colored buttons. "School's Out" is the only song I would listen to. I give it a 3/5 for Guitar Hero III.
