Before listening I didn't really know The Verve for anything other than Bitter Sweet Symphony, and after listening I can see why. I'm definitely not a fan, and will not be listening to this album again. Nothing really stands out about this album, it just feels a bit empty.
This album feels so classy. Every song fits into an overarching style and theme, yet stand out individually so as to never feel the same as the one before or after. A really neat album that could be at home on vinyl or the crappy headphones provided with your handset (I'm so sorry Amy).
I cannot see myself listening to this again nor recommending it to anyone in future.
This one is a hard one to rate. It feels ambitious, and lots of interesting stuff going on. I'm a fan of some of the later songs like "Do you realize", and overall I enjoyed the album. But I would also say it feels rough around the edges, and I think that comes from its age. I listened on youtube and maybe it would have been better listened to without the inherent compression. But anyways, I like it and I think I'll check out some of The Flaming Lips' other stuff.
I really wanted to like this one but it just kept on going. Nothing really noteworthy here.
Not something I would usually listen to, but enjoyed it thoroughly. I've definitely heard porcelain before, but hearing it context is nice.
Fan of "Don't Believe The Hype", I guess the media in 1988 was just as bad as it is now. Lots of repeated phrases, super catchy, can see why its on the list. I enjoyed listening to the album, lots of pop culture-y things in there.

Enjoyed Underwater Love, and would probably listen to the album again. One of the better albums so far IMO. Has a definitive style and doesn't try to be something its not.
I cannot see myself listening to this again nor recommending it to anyone in future.
This is the first Beatles album I've listened to from start to finish and I really enjoyed it. The album felt cohesive, and I kind of wish each song was a little longer! I don't have any gripes with this album.
Genuinely liked this album, felt really chill and could easily listen to it again. On the otherhand, its kind of like vanilla -- I can see anyone liking it but it being no one's favourite.
I'm a big fan of this album, it contains most of ELO's stand out tracks along with some lesser known ones which are still pretty great. I can't really mark this one down.
Nothing really catching about this album for me, but it wasn't bad, just not special
A pleasant listen, but not the kind of genre i'm particularly interested in. I don't have any real complaints though.
Great album, I haven't really listened to Pink Floyd before but this was great. I really think this is an album that needs to be listened to from start to finish. Oddly enough kinda makes me think of a toned down dream theater
This album was OK. Despite the great musicianship going on, I just couldn't get behind Morrissey's droning vocals which ruined it for me.
Always a fan of Miles Davis. Definitely not for everyone, but that's alright.
It's Earth, Wind, & Fire! What's not to enjoy really? Just an all-round funky time suitable for the whole family. Ok, maybe this album doesn't include some of their best hits, but its hard not to love the vibe.
I really wanted to like this one but it just kept on going. Nothing really noteworthy here.
I just could not get into this. Vocals are not a good fit for me.
Sweet album, feel like it could be played anywhere and not be out of place. At the same time, nothing super stand-out-ish about it, just a pleasant listen all round.
I enjoyed it, but I get that most people didn't. Bossa nova isn't everyone's cup of tea, and whilst it was pleasant to listen to its nothing special.
Nothing special here, a product of its time that hasn't aged well.
Marvin has a great distinctive style that you can't help but love. However, I would have liked a little more variety as this album feels a little samey throughout.
I can appreciate an album that is trying to stir up some emotion, but I just did not enjoy it.
Hot damn. There is something so pure about Bjork's music -- a mix of percussion, and melody fueled by vocals. All of it feels like its walking a tightrope between really profound music and a total garbage fest, and I could see either opinion being totally valid. I really liked this album, and although it's probably not a crowd pleaser I think everyone should listen if they have the time.
Really not a great album. Gave off similar vibes to the modern lovers, and I found its lyrics a lot clearer, but it put itself down by being such a product of its time.
Pleasant enough, one of those albums where you recognize a lot of the music without really knowing where you've heard it before. Not bad, not great, an alright album.
Nothing special, but perfectly listenable
I enjoyed this more than I thought I would, really interesting stories behind the band as well. Courtney Love -- front woman of the band -- was married to Kurt Cobain, but who influenced who?
Snooze. Sorry, just not my thing
Pleasant enough listen. Again, not a bad album but not one I'll be reaching for any time soon.
I'm sad I judged this album by it's name and cover. It had some decent tracks. Still not my thing, but not the worst thing I've listened to by a long shot.
Apparently this is really popular amongst wu tang clan fans, though I got lost really quickly in the album. I guess narating hip-hop/rap is something I should listen more to.
Ended up enjoying this album far more than I expected. Had never heard of Grant Lee Buffalo, but may start listening to his music regularly.
Classic rock/metal album, really recommend listening to at least everything before fairies wear boots. I feel like there is probably a reason behind fairies wear boots being there, but without it I feel like it comes off a little pretentious -- "here, listen to the album again but slightly different..."
Agh, just not very good. Pretty forgettable. Feel like their sound is quite close to The Police's but without being as iconic.
Super listenable, freebird is always good, not the most spectacular of albums but wortha listen.
Enjoyed listening to this album, starts off a bit slow and picks up a bit late. think I'll be listening to more of Joan in future.
A true classic. Depeche Mode own their sound not unlike how the Beatles or Queen own theirs. Being Depeche Mode though, this album is weird, and though I may love it for it, there are albums that are more well-rounded. Still loved it though.
Pleasant album. I feel like I'm starting to enjoy country a bit more than I used to. This could be dangerous.
I've heard of Simply Red but never listened to their music. Not what I was expecting, actually enjoyed their music though the album wasn't very exciting.
The Sex Pistols', like the other punk albums on this list, didn't resonate with me.
Couldn't get into this at all. Not my kind of thing, and I don't think I know anyone who would immediately like this.
This album feels so classy. Every song fits into an overarching style and theme, yet stand out individually so as to never feel the same as the one before or after. A really neat album that could be at home on vinyl or the crappy headphones provided with your handset (I'm so sorry Amy).
Fun album, and everyone likes Every Breath You Take. Not as cohesive as I would have liked, but enjoyable nonetheless.
Really nice album to listen to.
Not a huge fan of David Bowie; this album is fine.
Pretty eh. The first song brought me in, but from there each song becomes less distinct, and less enjoyable.
Infectious first track, into a stable album throughout. I really enjoyed it and will be listing to more of the the in future
Everyone knows seven nation army, but after hundreds of listens I'm tired of the song, and the rest of the songs on this album flop. Shame but I'm not a fan.
Fun album, a little bit quirky, but no great singles I'll be adding to a playlist any time soon
I listen to most of this, but I just couldn't finish it. It's not my thing, but maybe it's someone's...
Really fun album to listen to, full of messages about love, forgiveness, and trust. Though, I wouldn't do what Sam Cooke recommends and wake up your partner in the middle of the night to tell them you love them.
