Bubble And Scrape by Sebadoh

Ok. Call me picky but grunge era has a sound to it that is a little, just a hair, out of tune. But when the whole band is out of tune it sucks. Especially when they aren’t even out of tune together. Anyways, this is a no for me. Not my jam.

Leftism by Leftfield

Great electronic album. Leftfield was a pioneer in this area in my opinion. The songs stand alone just fine, yet also support listening as a full work together. This album you can focus and zone out on anywhere and still enjoy it.

Scum by Napalm Death

Hard nope. Could not finish this listen. Call it bad mastering, call it lack of melody, call it what you will. It’s all cymbals and drum noise covering up someone wailing on a guitar and screaming. This is not music. It’s noise.

I Should Coco by Supergrass

Why album generator, do you insist on giving me albums that are terrible? Punk/ska. Really? I couldn’t listen to this.

At Folsom Prison by Johnny Cash
May 06 2021

Given the circumstances behind the recording, the quality isn’t terrible. Not a huge country fan, but old school country has better depth and meaning to lyrics. Some of the cheering feels forced and noted that it was added in post. Apparently the inmates were scared to cheer or clap, and Johnny actually asks during one song “did someone just clap?” At which point the fake applause queues in. Adding applause gives the album a fake feel and for a live album almost discredits it.

Fred Neil by Fred Neil

Wow. Not even sure what to say to this album. It started feeling Johnny Cash and ended up tripping on some good hookah. Very melodic and well composed songs, decent production as well.

Not a bad album. Good background music with catchy beats.

Leftism by Leftfield

Great electronic album. Leftfield was a pioneer in this area in my opinion. The songs stand alone just fine, yet also support listening as a full work together. This album you can focus and zone out on anywhere and still enjoy it.

Let's Get Killed by David Holmes
May 10 2021

Album title says all. After listening to this album I want to kill someone. Myself maybe. It’s electronic noise mixed in with some decent grooves, lots of New York City stuff in between. Album had potential but I was not impressed by it.

May 13 2021

Smooth jazz. Melodic and relaxing. Not a bad album but the main theme melody seems to be in every song, making the album feel a bit repetitive.

Scum by Napalm Death

Tusk by Fleetwood Mac
May 21 2021

Compared to Rumors, this album is very boring to me. It’s still great on the technical end (recording, mastering) but the content does not grab me. Other than the 1 or 2 singles cut from this album, the rest is mostly forgettable.

Slippery When Wet by Bon Jovi
May 22 2021

Great album! Well mastered and almost every track is a good listen.

At Fillmore East by The Allman Brothers Band
Jun 01 2021

Good album. Sadly a lot of the live was cut out and not all songs from the performance were included (some transitions fade out the next song in the set). That all aside, this was a good listen for classic rock and blues.

I Should Coco by Supergrass
Jun 02 2021

Why album generator, do you insist on giving me albums that are terrible? Punk/ska. Really? I couldn’t listen to this.

Too Rye Ay by Dexys Midnight Runners
Jun 03 2021

Come on Eileen is the best track here. They have a good sound and the tracks are unique enough but not grabby to have a bunch of good cuts from it.

Parachutes by Coldplay
Jun 05 2021

Decent album but the singles cut from it were the best tracks overall.

Cross by Justice
Mar 06 2024

Meh. Decent background music but not a must listen imo.

Zombie by Fela Kuti
Mar 07 2024

Wow, this album has some serious funky grooves and great horns. Well worth a dedicated listen.

The Fat Of The Land by The Prodigy
Mar 09 2024

Essential electronic album with many good grooves and tracks.

Fleet Foxes by Fleet Foxes
Mar 11 2024

Alt folk album. Not my jam, not terrible either. Feels like they had a solid formula for song creation, but did not stray too far away from it. A lot of the songs sound "samey".

Back To Black by Amy Winehouse
Mar 12 2024

What a set of pipes! Also, a study in a career cut too short by tragedy.

Metallica by Metallica
Mar 21 2024

One of my favorite albums of all time. While many folks look at the "regular" cuts, the last 3 tracks on this album close it out in an amazing way! The whole album is quite the emotional roller coaster ride, dealing with anger, grief and depression; as well as happiness, joy, and determination.

Oxygène by Jean-Michel Jarre
Mar 22 2024

A very pleasant ambient electronica. I can see this leading the way and influencing many, many bands. I think I may have even heard some riff's from one of the tracks in a Pink Floyd and Prodigy album somewhere....

21 by Adele
Mar 27 2024

Never, and I mean NEVER, date this girl. When you break up she will write a full album of songs ripping you a new one, whining how much she misses you, and finally coming to terms with your breakup. Oh, did I mention that the songs will be chart topping bangers? Yeah. Great album if you’re not the target of her writing!

Time Out by The Dave Brubeck Quartet

S&M by Metallica

Metallica? Symphony orchestra? Deal.

I Am a Bird Now by Antony and the Johnsons
Apr 10 2024

Frankly, I’m not crazy about the genre music. However, this dude‘s voice is amazing. This dude has some pipes!
