Classic Rock album!

Great beats! Very inventive. I loved the song Simba.

Really liked the Demo versions of the songs. The album versions sound like someone told them to make the songs as generic as possible.

This album feels like it was way before its time.

I like individual songs but the album as a whole gets a bit repetitive.

First time listening to this band that heavily influenced KGATLW. The album starts off a little slow but builds into an absolutely wonderful experience.

I started the album feeling very skeptical. It sounded like he was trying to emulate Bob Dylan. The faux Southern accent rubbed me the wrong way. The characters in the songs were terrible people that didn't get my sympathy. As the album went on and the harmonica started to die down I started really enjoying the album and Bruce Springsteen's own unique style started coming through. The album is a wonderful cohesive sorrowful listen.

It's one of the greatest lyricists at his peak.
