A good mix of songs that have smooth and funky beats. Then you have shit like sabotage that just kick you in the balls, in a good way tho.
Soothing album, but not likely something I’ll personally come back to. His version of Unchained Melody is better than the righteous brothers imo. And I really dig All Of Me. Sounds like some Toy Story/Up track. Big Pixar vibes from that one
Sir Elton was really a madman for this one. Lotta tracks start off innocent enough and then just explode into a bombastic pop-rock/orchestral symphony
I would pay $35 for this at the Compton Swap Meet
I feel like my high school English teachers would love this album. However, I, a dum-dum, had to listen to tracks multiple times and read along with the lyrics to figure out what the heck Joni was talking about. Good Panera Bread type beats tho
Lotta cool stuff here. So many songs that just have really hypnotic, catchy riffs that are calm yet also ominous. Simple but effective. And then there’s I Am Damo Suzuki which caught me really off guard with the polyrhythms
Sadboy indie rock classic. Simple but with a lot of flavors. A familiar sound that is also cutting edge. Relatable lyrics. “I am trying to break your heart” and “Jesus Etc.” are staples of the genre.
I can respect the creativity and originality of this piece. This sounds like what people in the 80’s used in instructional videos to describe what the future will look like. Very impressive that this came out in the mid 70’s. And then after autobahn, the crew was just like “hey check out this crazy sound I learned how to make” and then put those crazy sounds on the album

Certainly an 80’s synth pop album. It was fine. Nothing bad about this album but nothing really stood out either. Tbh I didn’t know Talk Talk had anything else noteworthy besides Its My Life but here we are.
Everytime I think of Buffalo Springfield, I confuse them with Dusty Springfield - who made the song that Cypress Hill sampled for Hits From the Bong. Needless to say, I had unfair expectations for this album. But despite this album not featuring anything close to Hits From the Bong, it was cool anyways
Fantastic album! Great music to just sit back and reflect. Any album that features waves crashing can do this for you. The order of tracks was very well done as they flow into each other pretty seamlessly and build to a climactic ending. For example, first couple track have no lyrics. Then the middle tracks featured just small little pieces of vocals here and there. And then the back half showcase the vocals pretty heavily. I also really dig how the opener sounded like something you’d hear on Rainbow Road in Mario Kart. This is definitely one I’ll be running back in the future
Definitely very Britpop. Nice pulsating riffs on this album. Certainly an easy to listen to record. Biggest gripe is that a lot of songs sounded similar
In my top 5 albums of all time. Incredible mixing on this thing. You can clearly hear each instruments part and they all get their own time to shine. From the opening bass line to She, to the drums that kick off Longview, to the iconic vocals in Basket Case that waste no time in firing you up. I’m a big pop punk guy but I can admit some albums in the genre have a tough time making each song feel different. This is not one of those albums
A very funny album. I thought that The Rockefeller Skank would be the funniest track on the album but then it’s immediately one upped by Fatboy Slim is Fucking In Heaven. Humor aside, it’s a good party album. I feel like the whole thing suffers from being a bit too long. I don’t know if the remedy is to cut the amount of tracks down or to just trim down each songs length. Either way I feel once you get past the quirkiness, some of the songs can overstay their welcome.
Back half of this one made a much stronger impression than the front half, although the opener with Santana was pretty cool. My Dream specifically resonated with me. Such strong emotion on this one. Hooker was in his 70’s when he made this record. Makes you think about what people you’ll miss and the moments gone by that you’ll reflect on at that age.
I prefer the more melodic slow parts as opposed to the crunchy fast strum parts but it’s still a classic. Master of Puppets the song is a masterpiece
Incubus gets a bad rep but they’re kinda sick with it. PARDON ME WHILE I BUUUUUUUURST INTOOOOOOOOOOOOO FLAMES. Come on thats just fun
My Mom loves The Boss so I gotta respect it. Classic all American album with GOATed saxophone
Aside from being too long, there wasn’t anything particularly wrong with this album I just don’t think it’s for me
