Popular Reviews

Underwhelming. A few good hits but I’m not really into the extra-conceptual stuff they are doing here.

Pink Moon by Nick Drake
Jul 10 2022

Very chill album. Acoustic and chill.

Melodrama by Lorde
Jul 12 2022

Good to vibe to but it’s depressing. A sad vibe album. Perfect for a heartbreak.

American Beauty by Grateful Dead
Jul 13 2022

Kinda sounded like the Beatles mixed with Lynnard Skynard mixed with CCR.

Tonight's The Night by Neil Young
Jul 14 2022

I don’t know why, but this is such a good album.

Harvest by Neil Young
Jul 15 2022
Protection by Massive Attack
Jul 16 2022

Pretty solid album, but not any good individual songs. Heat Miser might be good for Road Work. Has a really groovy cover of Light My Fire.

Africa Brasil by Jorge Ben Jor
Aug 10 2022

Had one song I really liked. Might have a good song for Road Work.

Technique by New Order
Aug 11 2022

It’s not a bad album, just nothing stood out to me.

Exodus by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Aug 24 2022
Heartattack And Vine by Tom Waits
Sep 02 2022

Couldn’t get through it. It may have been revolutionary or something, but his voice is just too weird.

Go Girl Crazy by The Dictators
Sep 11 2022

Not my favorite. A lot of the music sounds like a joke. The album cover is disturbing.

Sep 13 2022

Got a good Coldplay sound to it. I really like this. VERY underrated album how have I never heard of this album, any of the songs, or even the band?!

Celebrity Skin by Hole
Sep 14 2022

Very good grunge rock. Has one-two bad songs in the middle but overall very good.

Lust For Life by Iggy Pop
Sep 15 2022

Ok in the first half of the album, but got really good in the second half. Developed a David Bowie-type sound.

Vauxhall And I by Morrissey
Sep 16 2022

First half of album was really good. Back half became more mellow. LISTEN TO AGAIN.

Led Zeppelin IV by Led Zeppelin
Sep 17 2022

Three really good songs. The rest are pretty mellow/zone-out songs.

Bat Out Of Hell by Meat Loaf
Sep 18 2022

Album was released on my birthday in 1977. All Revved Up With Nowhere to Go is the worst track on this album, but not horrible. Whole thing is like a musical. I love this album. It’s super good.

Autobahn by Kraftwerk
Jun 15 2023

Autobahn is pretty good. The rest is just background music.

Pink Flag by Wire
Jun 16 2023

It’s magnificent. Basically a playlist of 21 short post-punk songs that are all just amazing.

Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath
Jun 17 2023

The guitar is amazing, but the songs as a whole just aren’t special. The lyrics and other instrumentals just lack.

Ragged Glory by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Jun 19 2023

Classic Neil Young infused with some electrifying rock and roll.

Live At Leeds by The Who
Jun 20 2023

I’m not a huge fan of their live playing style, but sometimes it’s a vibe when they just keep shredding the guitar like a Crazy Horse song.

In Our Heads by Hot Chip
Jun 21 2023

The songs are good, but that’s it. They are just good.

Seventeen Seconds by The Cure
Jun 24 2023

Kinda spooky album. Very low intensity. It’s amazing.

The White Album by Beatles
Jun 25 2023

Even their lesser songs are so good in a cheesy way. Classic Beatles.

Red Dirt Girl by Emmylou Harris
Jun 26 2023

Very good! And with a feature from Dave Matthews!

The Blueprint by JAY Z
Jun 27 2023

One of the best hip-hop albums of all time.

Manassas by Stephen Stills
Jun 28 2023

It was okay, but nothing special. Just some good folk rock.

Jun 29 2023

So good for how weird it is. I would never expect an electronic album like this to be this good. Especially the back half.

Born To Run by Bruce Springsteen
Jun 30 2023

I liked it, but the album as a whole isn’t great, it just has 3 amazing songs.

Cypress Hill by Cypress Hill
Jul 03 2023

Classic 90s Hip-Hop.

Fly Or Die by N.E.R.D
Jul 07 2023

Album that is very different from anything in its genre, somewhat ahead of it’s time by giving an alternative feel.

Jul 12 2023

Not expected to be a good album as there are only a few songs that are good on their own, but it just works. Very Gorillaz-esque, but more powerful.

You Are The Quarry by Morrissey
Jul 03 2025

It was silly but as far as Morrissey goes, it was pretty good.

Dog Man Star by Suede
Jul 04 2025

Not really doin it for me. It has some good songs and elements but a lot of the “hits” just feel like 70s rock filler if it was made in the 90s.

Make Yourself by Incubus
Oct 23 2025

Definitely Alternative. Had Foo Fighters elements mixed with Red Hot Chili Peppers-type singing. Pretty good.

NEU! 75 by Neu!
Oct 24 2025

Amazing album!! Walking album. Going to become a favorite for sure. The suspenseful instrumentals combined with the nonsensical 70s rock vibes make it perfect.

Stankonia by OutKast
Oct 25 2025

Better than expected. Of course there are some great tracks on there, but the b-sides shocked me. They were pretty decent. The closing track is particularly good.

Oct 26 2025

Crazy. Rock-opera type. Similar to Bat Out of Hell. I still don’t know what to think of it. Two songs stand out: the opening track and The Carpet Crawlers. Others were very good as well, but maybe not great out of context. A full album listen.

Cloud Nine by The Temptations
Oct 27 2025

B-sides were better than the hits. Good ole’ Mo-Town.

The Wall by Pink Floyd
Oct 29 2025

Another classic. Full album listen for sure on this one. The trial is probably the only skip.

Blood On The Tracks by Bob Dylan
Oct 30 2025

Another classic. I really like Bob Dylan’s sound and his lyrics just hit. Last few songs are about rain and I was listening to it while walking in the rain so it really fit. Every song was good; no skips.

american dream by LCD Soundsystem
Oct 31 2025

Didn’t listen to the whole thing. Songs I listened to weren’t very climactic or momentous. Just chill vibes really. Some were good.

Nov 02 2025

Really good 70s rock vibes from this. Every song is a pleasure to listen to and the guitar is great.

The Good, The Bad & The Queen by The Good, The Bad & The Queen
Nov 03 2025

Typical Damon Albarn music, but on the slower side. It’s fine, but not a great album. Idk didn’t really do it for me.

Abattoir Blues / The Lyre of Orpheus by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Nov 04 2025

Nick Bare can have my kids after this one. Singer-songwriter vibes with godly instrumentals and bigger production.

Back to Basics by Christina Aguilera
Nov 05 2025

She has some good songs on here but nothing special.

Step In The Arena by Gang Starr
Nov 06 2025

Classic 90s hip hop with some really good lyricism.

Parallel Lines by Blondie
Nov 07 2025

Some really good hits, but not a coherent album.

To Pimp A Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar
Nov 08 2025

Ethan claims it’s a classic. It is very good with lyricism and production. Definitely deserves many more listens. Some mid songs, so it’s not perfect, but it’s close.

Pretzel Logic by Steely Dan
Nov 09 2025

Not really a huge fan of yacht rock, but this album has a ton of good songs. Maybe it’s growing on me.

Billion Dollar Babies by Alice Cooper
Nov 10 2025

Only skip is Sick Things. Amazing album all around. British Invasion type music.

Nov 12 2025

It’s Nirvana. Of course it’s going to be amazing. Honestly, The Man Who Sold the World might be better than the Bowie version. TBD.

Fun House by The Stooges
Nov 13 2025

Pretty good roots of punk, but I don’t hear it for all songs.

Blackstar by David Bowie
Nov 15 2025

Bowie but more conceptual.

Parklife by Blur
Nov 18 2025

Damon Albarn is amazing like always. A great album from one of my favorite sub-genres of music ever.

Nov 19 2025

Underwhelming. A few good hits but I’m not really into the extra-conceptual stuff they are doing here.

Cheap Thrills by Big Brother & The Holding Company
Nov 20 2025

Great album, not perfect. Janis Joplin is amazing like always.

Mott by Mott The Hoople
Nov 26 2025

Only a few good songs. Bowie produced and you can tell.

Synchronicity by The Police
Dec 02 2025

Good songs but I can never get into the whole album. Will have to listen again sometime.

Germfree Adolescents by X-Ray Spex
Dec 03 2025

Really good punk, but too much saxophone (if that’s even possible).
