Hail To the Thief
RadioheadI know this isnt their most appreciated album, but I really enjoy it. That ending with Wolf at the Door.. wow.
Awesome to listen to it in full again. You can hear his zeitgeist and critical thinking about classism throughout.
It's a fun listen, i have to say, but too busy to put on most days, for my liking. I do enjoy the funky baselines. And there's a weird musical theatre intermezzo somewhere? Interesting.
Starts with a song that could be a sitcom intro, but I think that might be intentional, sarcastically. Fun record, high energy, but not very fresh or unique.
I really liked this! I've never heard of them, so thank you.
Dad rock pur sang. I never gave them a *good* listen, so I'm glad I did now, because I have underrated it.
Nostalgia
I didn't care for this album much. It's an OK listen, British pop/rock band. Maybe a bit ahead of it's time when it came out, but I don't think there's much that keeps it relevant today.
I liked Side A, but Side B slides towards just unintelligible noise and frustrated grunts. I don't have the heaps of nostalgia with this records some people have.
I enjoyed this more than I thought I would :)
So fitting with a mild autumn day
Not my thing, but not bad either.
I didn't know this group and I really enjoyed it.
One of my favourite albums of all time
Imho, this didn't age that well in terms of sound.
It's nice, not great.
Not very interesting
I have been stuck on this album for a while. Not that I think it's bad, it's just that noisy shoegaze is something I don't seek out to listen to any time, I never feel like it. Which is not a value proposition at all, just preference. I'd even say it's pretty good for what it does and it was an influential album so for that reason it is interesting.
Een piano virtuoos, fifties swing jazz. Cool, maar ik raak er na een tijdje wel op uit gekeken.
I know this isnt their most appreciated album, but I really enjoy it. That ending with Wolf at the Door.. wow.
Felt a bit uninspired, the tempo, the lyrics. I did like the melodies in most songs. Made for a different generation.
This listen took me to someone elses's experience of life (ending). Someone of a different gender, age, nationality and religion than myself. And I loved it exactly for that.
