Murmur by R.E.M.
Jan 18 2023

good solid album. has that early 80s feel but without all the extra fluff. some very thoughtful moments lyrics-wise. great instrumentation throughout, not repetitive.

Bossanova by Pixies
Jan 19 2023

as slow starting but solid alt rock album. A great instrumental opener led into a somewhat lazy first half, but boy did they pick it up in the second half. The signature Pixies sounds rears its head and it is beautiful. 7/10.

Bluesbreakers by John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers
Jan 20 2023

what. an. album. great vocals killer instrumentation. Clapton absolutely shreds on guitar. There’s a great mix of blues styles but it all comes together like a delicious soup of sound. loved it.

Pump by Aerosmith
Jan 21 2023

Janie’s Got a Gun is enough to give this album 3/5 at the very least. Very technically sound. Tyler’s vocals are solid. not extraordinary imo but undeniably good.

Tres Hombres by ZZ Top
Jan 22 2023

gritty blues rock from some of the best to ever do it. love it.

Dummy by Portishead
Jan 23 2023

all around great album, stylistically consistent throughout, without becoming repetitive, beautiful vocals, killer production.

Jan 24 2023

funky, soulful, and straight up FUN album. crazy that is was their debut.

I'm Your Man by Leonard Cohen
Jan 25 2023

one of the greatest voices of all time shows up full force on this one. an 80s gem.

Vincebus Eruptum by Blue Cheer
Jan 26 2023

The birth of heavy metal, and it was beautiful. A true power trio firing on all cylinders.

Eternally Yours by The Saints
Jan 27 2023

old school punk from a band that i’m surprised isn’t talked about more! technically sound, with more complex arrangements than you’d expect from a punk group. loved it.

The Cars by The Cars
Feb 04 2023

solid effort all around, straight to the point, cohesive, kickass instrumentation, loved it. what a debut album

Queen Of Denmark by John Grant
Feb 28 2023

beautiful, hilarious, heart wrenching, honest. the first i’ve heard of John Grant and this is now on my deserted island list. loved every second.
