Odessey And Oracle
The ZombiesThis is such a special time in music. There doesn't seem to be any hint of a formula that I can find in any of the songs on this album, unlike most music since the 70's.

Really great metal album that stands the test of time. A little formulaic at times, but there's nothing wrong with that if it works.
It's easy to hear the influence this album had on music as a whole afterwords. Rock influences seep in here and there, along with Blues. Not a fan of the album, but undeniable that it's extremely influential

Iconic punk rock.
Not a fan of this album. Some of the songs are ok, but after yesterday's album it's boring.
Interesting listen, although I'm not sure it's aged well. Some of the lyrics are a little cringe-worthy.
This album was a very nice surprise. I knew about the song Alright already, but this album takes concept to a whole new level. It's brilliant and refreshing with hints of jazz, blues, and rock masked by the hip-hop/rap. Really creative stuff.
I could not make it through this album. I made it halfway and had to move on. I would think if you are a fan of ASMR you would love this album. I find ASMR rage inducing. I found this album rage inducing. It’s artistic, just not for me.
This is boring and pedestrian. Generic throw-everything-into-the-mix electronic garbage. The singers are so darn generic it hurts to listen to. Maybe at the time of release it was something, but this is just bad.
Generic rock that sounds surprisingly modern.
Not the best LB album, and I was surprised it made this. There’s a lot of creativity but Durst just overpowers that creativity with mediocre lyrics.
This sounded like either a band that couldn’t make up its mind or was midstream in changing directions. Not a fan of dance music and found the album too erratic in styles for me.
Love the music itself, but I find the vocals to just not my style. There are some gems both lyrically and musically on this album that just get ruined by monotonous droning vocals. I really wanted to love this album.
Couldn’t make it through this one. I had an immediate negative reaction to the first song and pushed through a few more songs. It didn’t age well and wasn’t enjoyable.
I’m not a huge fan of the band, but they do have some really good songs, a few that are in this album. They do some really cool stuff with right and left channels that I’ve never heard done quite like that. Enjoyable listen.
While the music data itself a bit, the lyrics and inspiration to hip hop are undeniably timeless.
Some good songs, some borderline offensive songs in terms of appropriating blues. Getting past the offensive parts, there is some radically different music here that pulls it away from the music of this era.
Is this the best FF album? No. Context is so important with this album though. Dave Grohl was the drummer for a little band called Nirvana. They represented a generation that saw right through the glam of the 80’s. A year prior to the release of this album Kurt Cobain, the lead singer of Nirvana, had died by suicide. This was a pivotal time for Mr. Grohl and would catapult him from being a star to the closest thing one can get to being a living god of rock music. He recorded this album himself, and admits he sees it as more of a demo. Shades of Nirvana are all over this album, but also showcases his punk and metal side.
This was not what I expected. As soon as I saw Bee Gees I almost didn’t even want to listen to it because I’m not a fan of disco at all. WOW. A genre-bending magical journey is the only way to describe this album.
