Late highschool early college me would have absolutely loved this album. Unfortunately for 2026 James, this type of music has completely fallen off of my enjoyment radar unless they are songs that I already knew.

That was just a bit too goofy for me. I think I would like them if I only heard a couple of songs here or there, but I did not need to listen to a whole 18 song album.
Sounds like Canadian Drive By Truckers, but much better I must say. This is just some good ol fashioned, no nonsense, southern/folk rock with hard driving guitar. But still lands as a mid to high 3
Nothing ever felt right about that album. As soon as something enjoyable would happen it would then turn really strange. Was definitely so cool parts that I liked but overall was not great.
The Waiter song was one of the most annoying songs I have heard and I need it to disappear form my mind.

That was a pretty weird and lazy way of doing an album. As much as I love me some local on the 8s jazz fusion which I think shaped my music taste from when I was a kid, I really didn't need 30 minutes of it to end this album. Especially in horrific quality.
I am not sure which human chose this as their one and only album to add. But we are all a little bit stupider and may god have mercy on their soul.

That was some of the oldest timey trumpet I've ever heard. Was nice to listen to but got quite repetitive. Glad I only listened to the 55 minute version on Spotify rather than the 4.5 hour version listed on the wiki
Would be a wild move to give my added album anything other than a 5. Had a crisis choosing between this and another one of his albums Black and Blu but ultimately picked this because it was the first album that came to my head when I heard that we got to add an album to this list once finishing.

I really really do not like intentionally lo-fi music. I could not listen to this whole album it started giving me a massive headache. Sounded like it was recorded through a Speak and Spell
That was incredibly strange but so wildly intriguing. I wanted it to keep going so I listened to the last 4 bonus songs as well. I really don't know if it was good or not, it was more just so trippy and was all in my mindfuzz the whole time.
I think I am going to go with a low 4 here mainly because of the uniqueness of this strange trip of an album
This album had some really good high energy songs that I enjoyed, but a few too many really emo songs. Especially the song that ended it that was a terrible ending.
Was nice to get an emo rock album on here that we had rarely any of so it was a nice mixup.
Was a bit skeptical going into this being a soundtrack for a movie have never seen, but this was a pretty sweet album. The immense amount of vaporwave throughout the whole album was pretty bitchin'

There were some things that I really liked about that album but mostly things I didn't. Much heavier than Faith no More that I am accustomed to. The ending song sounded like a different album. Does not deserve a 2 but it has to be a low 3.

That was an incredibly satisfying album to listen to. Did not mind at all that it was an hour and 15 minutes long, I enjoyed every minute. Midnight City to kick it off really sets the tone and it does not turn back from the cool electronic spacey nature.

Glad we are finally getting into some good albums this past week or so, because the first 5 or so albums from the user submitted ones did not give me high hopes for other peoples music tastes.
This was a really fun high energy punk-ish sort of rock album. Really unique guitar sounds that added some nice flavor to this album.
Same Kooks was sweet caught my self head banging a bit to that one.
The slow songs were kind of whack and brought down the mood, but the fast songs outweighed them but I think this still only gets a mid to high 3
Such a baller album that I have never listened to but wish I have a long time ago. I don't think I've actually ever listened to a full Avicii album now that I think of it.
Just has some great chill electronics which made it such an easy listen. This style of electronic music is what has hooked me into the genre.

Some incredible strumming that's for sure. Was getting a little old until the standing bass came in on Plaza Alta, that song was a heater once that happened.
Ended with some more really good strumming. Not something I would ever seek out to listen to but still cool to listen to for 35 minutes once.

This sounded like the band No Vacancy from School of Rock that won the Battle of the Bands. Just an incredibly mid alternative rock album that was way too long for what it produced.
Feed me all of the Jazz Fusion you'd like, i would listen all day. Just such an entertaining form of music where you just never know where it is going to go and what instruments are going to pop up next.

Anyways, I switched this to a 5 because I listened to it for a third time in 2 days and found more and more things to absolutely love about it
Was a bit hesitant going in seeing that this was a hardcore punk album which I am not a huge fan of generally. But this album was pretty awesome. It was just the right amount of hardcore for me, sounded a good bit like Rage Against the Machine at times.
Was really going full throttle at work while blasting this. Definitely exceeded expectations.
Had a few parts that were fun, but was overall just some absolute 80s dance-pop shite.
I just want to listen to more Snarky Puppy.
What in tarnation was that entire album?? I felt like I was involuntarily thrown into a k-hole. Especially the very end of that last song where it was alternating left and right headphones.

So many absolute jams on here from their earlier days. Steam Engine (shout our Shakey Knees) Run Thru, and can't ever forget Dodante which I wish was 35 minutes long. Could honestly list every song as being incredible.

Unexpected enjoyable album, did not have high hopes look at the genre type. This was like metal shoegaze it felt like where the instrumentals were just a continuous noise it felt like. The vocals were a little too sludgy for me but I really liked to instrumentals throughout the whole album.
Listening to Khrungbin just always puts me in a great mood with how smooth the music is. Especially when it is 68 degrees out and I have my windows open in my house.
People Everywhere is a top song. Mr White and White Gloves are also standouts.

Tool is one of the most unique sounding bands in the fact that their songs don't really have a specific pattern that they ever follow. It makes for such a cool listen because every song stays fresh.
I have never listened to this album fully, just a lot of the songs individually and it was quite a journey. Parabol into Parabola is awesome.
This one was hard to rate because I love Tool as a whole but I think this album just fell a little bit short of a 5. That last song was creepy as fuc too
Had some fun beats and tunes in it the whole time, but have never been able to really jive with the singer of Depeche Mode. Just a little too goofy sounding for me.

Really unique rock album with all different types of styles that I enjoyed. I am not going to do any research but it seems like every song was like 6+ minutes long which I know is a turnoff for some people but I like it.
Everybody's Weird and Ideal Crash were fun. Overall nice enjoyable album
Crumbling Castle and Fourth Color are the 2 songs that got me hooked on Gizz after Dan and I were driving home from Wisp and heard Cyboogie come on Sirius XM, so we instantly went back to College Park basement and turned on the KEXP to find out more about what these guys were about. Since then it has been quite a ride in my life with Gizz.
Ranked this as my 8th favorite album by them when we did our rankings.
Loyality is a top song for me by them it is jsut so awesome.

Living Colour is such a unique sounding band. They are like glam rock and grunge put together. Not really sure how much I enjoy all of it but there are parts that were really cool.
Really interesting album with a whole bunch of different genres throughout the whole thing. Really clean production as well it was high quality. Got a bit lost at some points during it but still enjoyable
What a beautifully spooky album with all of the different instruments, especially the strings playing really low tones. Felt like I was in a crazy dream for most of this. Really flew by because I never really knew what was going on but was a great experience.
Paramore is awesome I am glad I finally listened to a full album by them. Just the perfect level of everything when it comes to what I want to hear from pop-punk. I didn't know a single song on this album but was jamming out hard. Kind of wish they didn't end on two slow songs but still very good
Interesting album there it sounded like a more disjointed King Crimson. Parts that I liked and parts that I didn't.

What a sweet album that had so much going on in a great way. Definitely zoned out of it at many times because of the length and the nature of the album with the fact that it all blended together. But a really awesome album that I am glad someone chose.

Very strange song structure it was almost like poetry with some quiet backing beats. Was really interesting to listen to once but don't think that any of these song would ever come close to me listening individually. Probably a 3 for enjoyment but ill go really low 4 for the originality.
It can definitely be tough to listen to 90 minutes of TOOL which is why I waited to listen to it until I knew I was going to be in a great spot for it. And cooking hot honey hallomi bowls after smoking a little bit of weed and drinking an ice cold beer right before round 1 of the NFL draft was the right spot.
I've listened to this album probably 3-4 times before right when it came out so I already knew it was going to be a 5 going into it. This was actually in my consideration for the album I was going to add, so glad someone beat me to it.
Pneuma is a top 5 song for me, it is just perfectly built up and then unleashes one of the sickest guitar riffs on you. Having Invincible follow it which is also an epic song makes for 24 minutes of the best that TOOL has to offer.
Can't wait to snowboard again and sync up to blasting Pneuma in our headphones with Kev at Wisp.
One of those albums that i really enjoyed but can't really remember it at all. Exactly what I needed to listen to at the moment and opted for this over Fear Innoculum for now.

Love that it starts off with just an absolute slammer of a song Vicarious. I think that was the first TOOL song I clearly remember.
Listened a couple of days ago so I can't remember everything I had in my mind, but just like all of the others I can certainly see this being not for everyone with the length and intensity of the album. But I was jamming the whole time. Just get so blown away from the progressivness (maybe a word) and Danny Carey's drumming is so unreal.

Really nice flow from MF Doom as normal. Had some funny songs thrown in as well which is always a plus on albums like this especially the one where it spelled out marijuana.
Just a solid all around hip-hop album with good beats and easy flow.
At first I thought this was just going to be another standard new wave album, but it ended up being really quite fun and a good enjoyable listen. Probably will be memory holed in about a day but was good for the time. Very low 4 but was better than a 3
I must have listened to this album back in my hair-metal phase in middle school because I knew almost all of these songs.
Was a little skeptical going into this but I forgot how hard it rocks. Just kind of no nonsense rock that doesn't care how good the singing or songwriting is, just needs hardcore ass guitar riffs and loud drums. That recipe just works really well sometimes.
His page on Spotify makes him look like Jim Carrey's character in Dumb and Dumber. Also Gerry Cinnamon is a great name.
The song Sometimes to start it off was absolutely excellent. I didn't realize he was Scottish until about the third song when his accent really came out.

Very interesting mashup of incomplete songs. Not really my ideal way of listening to an album but this was pretty decent hearing all of the samples. Had some pretty cool beats and other synth noises on it as well.
Absolutely love this album and have listened to it many many times. The first 1-4 song stretch is some of the best that War on Drugs have to offer. Strangest Thing is a top song in my library.
The second half of the album does not hold as strong as the first half, but that is quite frankly impossible. Such a great album front to back.

That was confusing as hell I never had an idea of what kind of song was going to come next. For the most part this was filled with incredible bops, but then would be followed by a weirder slow song. The singer was certainly shocking when he first started but actually grew on me as the album went, mainly because it wasn't the focal point of this album. The progressive metal shoegaze instrumental were very awesome through the whole thing.
I have realized that I really like this genre with that ISIS album coming up for us a couple months ago. Don't think I would ever turn this on at any point but I am happy to listen when it comes up on this list.

One thing I took away from this album is that Keith Moon absolutely loves smashing the shit out of his drums pretty much the whole time.
Was very interesting that it kept edging the Love Reign O'er Me strings and lyrics in samples throughout the whole album before finally climaxing all O'er the place at the very end.
Was an incredibly good listen and one of those albums that practically every song transitioned into the next seamlessly which gratefully causes an 80 minute album to fly by in a great way.
I have never heard of this fella and I was looking through his wiki to see if he was in any bands that I knew, because my goodness this scratched my prog rock itch so good my leg started twitching like a dog.
So much of this sounded like Umphreys which absolutely rules. Great change up of genres between songs and even mid song. And have to love the use of synths and electronics on albums like these.

In terms of singer/songwriter Bobby S is the cream of the crop for me. His powerful singing voice and bluesy rock sounds are just great every time I listen.

This album cover looks like a Slay the Spire card that Defect would be able to play (only Jackson will get that).
Gotta love a good art-pop album. When they hit they REALLY HIT. So many unique electronic beats and noises in this from the very beginning that kept me so engaged the whole time. Never had any idea what to expect from the next song coming up. And the singers ghostly voice goes absolutely perfect with the instrumentals.
This was the exact type of album I would hope to find on this list so great job to whoever added this! There is now a brand new fan of this band.
To the Blade, No Reptiles, and Warm Healer were my favorites that I can think of but honestly every song was so good.
This was very King Crimsoney sounding for sure but was not up to the standard that I was hoping with some of their other albums. Still a great listen though and a mid 4. But then Starless came up and was an absolute heater once the jazz part came in about halfway. As a song itself it was a 5.

That was one of the whackier albums I have listened to in a while. Took me a while to get with it but about half way through I really started liking it in a weird way.
Two Wuv was the most 2000s alternative song I have ever heard but it was quite a bop.
A pretty low 4 but was just fun and unique enough to get it there.
Tried to find the mashed up version of all 4 disks at once like it is necessary to listen to this album to get its full experience. But I don't think I was able to so it just didn't work, or it did. I have no idea. Not an album that should have been added on here due to the complexity

Nice little punky emo album that I don't really listen to too much of. Sounded like Weezer mixed together with some other bands. Nothing I can see myself going back to but in the moment it was really enjoyable.
Some really nice synth-pop to start out. Country Figs was catchy as hell right out of the gate.

Not really sure why but REM has just never done anything for me aside from the few hits that they have. This is now the 5th album we've had and it will be my 5th 3. And these are all very middling 3s.
Pretty disappointingly slow when it comes to my expectations of MGMT. I know that they can't have the same sounds as all of their albums but this one wasn't nearly as fun as some of their others. Still some cool psych elements though which I can always get down with

Childish is such a G I love the style of music that he makes. Such a unique way of rapping and production. Think I need to give this album another listen but initial thoughts are high 4, close to 5. Just such an entertaining album.
Redbone is such an incredible song that's kind of in a genre in a genre of it's own, which is a bit annoying because I have always wanted to add it to a playlist but I have no idea which one it fits on.
If this didn't just have me on the member berries from the songs I know then this would be an easy 1. But the hits are incredibly catchy I can't lie about that. Rest of the album with the slow loves songs were absolute doo-doo.

I know DMB is not for everyone but I have always really liked them. Never listened to this full album but it has so many early hits on it that I have only listened to the live versions of. A very fun different type of album. Really enjoyed this the whole time. Songs changed up a good amount to keep things fresh.
That started off real synthy and cool for the first few songs but then got wayyyyyyy too slow and cheesy sounding in the second half
That was mostly really cool, definitely had some weird parts like COOL party. But the electronics overall were quite funky in a great way.
Fascination to end it was sweet, except for the part where he was talking about helicoptering his meat around.
Incredibly unique genre which was hard to explain. I liked it for the first couple songs but got very old very quickly. Got very hard to listen to and was incredibly too long
Was a really classic rock sounding album that was kind of a delight to listen to. Was definitely pretty standard sounding with nothing crazy sticking out, but I had a good time listening. On the low side of a 4.
Pretty incredible lo-fi album with some really nice flowing rap included. Read this guys story and it's very unfortunate what happened to him because he was the creator of some really great music.

Really love listening to this style of metal/hard rock on occasion and it hit really well for me here. Not something I would turn on daily but I have always been a huge fan of this genre. Karnivool will need to be added to my list of "bands I should listen to randomly on a Saturday coming up this Fall or Winter"

Turnstile rocks so absolutely hard it is ridiculous. They are the perfect amount of hardcore for me without going overboard. Just so many different aspects go into their songs so that it's just not straight up screaming hardcore madness the whole time, which makes a great balance. That way when the screaming hardcore madness comes in it hits so great.
Seeing them at Bonnaroo was awesome! The fact that their only visuals are just zoomed in cameras of the live moshpit while some methed out people from Dundalk run around and slam into each other makes for such an awesome experience.
I definitely l like NEVER ENOUGH more than this album but this one also rips hard. Was on the 4/5 line but its getting bumped up because I only have about 3 hours left of work before 4th of July long weekend at the lake and this got me pumped up for that.
Smooth ah jazz from Mr. Mingus. Gets a bump up to a 4 cause jazz is nice to listen to when done well
Second favorite Gizz album and it absolutely pwns for the first 20 minutes or so through People Vultures. I remember the first time hearing that I couldn't really comprehend what was going on all I knew it that I loved it.
The remainder of the album is also completely awesome. Road Train is such a baller way to close it out.
Really great blues rock album. I have listened to Marcus King here and there but never a full album. I think I also saw them open for Umphrey's once which actually all 4 of us may have been at the Anthem for.

Such a dang good album and a complete classic from the 90s. Not sure how many times I have listened fully to this album but I definitely know every song.

So many hits from ol Weez. Only in Dreams was a very good long song that i have never heard of. Really well done on this debut Weezer
What in the heck with all of these sea shanty type songs. Was very strange but also strangely enjoyable. Parasites was one of the weirder songs I have ever heard.

Dream Theater has been a band I have always wanted to get into but never have given them a fair chance.
This album starts off incredibly hair metal ballady which I was not a huge fan of. As it went on though it got metal as hell in the style of prog metal that I really like. Some of the guitar in throughout this album was so sweet.
Learning to Live being an 11 minute power ender was awesome. This started at a low 3 but made its way to a pretty solid 4.
I don't think this album was created for 34 year old white dudes sitting in their basement playing Diablo IV, and you know what that's quite alright. I gave it a try ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The first song was pretty cool and jazzy but the rest of the album quickly turned dark and weird and I did not like
Absolute doozie of a live album. Love the deep cuts on side one. Pink Floyd is just not the same without Roger Waters.

These guys wanted to debut in 1978 so badly. Some of these songs rocked really hard but a few of them were a bit cheesy sounding. Good songs outweighed the not so good though.
Much more of an enjoyable album compared to the last album we had by them. This one sounded way more alternative. If you would have told me this came out in 2003 I would believe you.
Was a weird mix of a lot of genres. Went from liking it, to not liking it, to liking it, and repeat pretty much the whole album song to song. I think I liked it for the most part but I was a very confused boy during it.
This is the least hyped Friday album I have ever listened to what an absolute buzzkill. Ok maybe that was just the first song with the disturbing talking girl. Rest of the album sounded like a Fantasia/Kingdom Hearts mix of songs which was really cool.
Confusing album to rank because I will never listen to this again but i am glad I did once. Going 4.
Absolute mayhem from the very opening with the terrifying scream. This is certainly one of the more unique albums I have ever heard in my life. It was like dubstep metal combo that I didn't know could go together but it was pretty cool.
Never would listen to this again or anything close to it but I am happy I have heard this type of music once in my life to know that cetain madness still exists.
Wow this made me really fucking angry by how bad it was. I don't think that this got anywhere close to saving rock and roll. In fact we are all dumber for listening to it and may god have mercy on your soul.
Pretty generic 90s alternative. This would have been music I would have really liked growing up but it is now kind of just standard music to me.

A wildly psychy album with some crazy electronics that were doing some fun things in my ears. Felt like I was in dream world for a little bit.
Knew a shocking amount of songs on here. Horchata is a fun little jingle. Cousins is awesome. Didn't know either of those were VW.
Was fully expecting A-Punk to come up even though i knew it was not on here but it is jsut burned in my brain from getting in Kevins car
This sounded like if Morrissey made a punk album. Was just alright pretty smack middle 3
