How is this must hear? Annoying voice and lyrics Make this a must miss
I have heard about Bob Marley and the Wailers. They are the high point apparently of Reggae. I do not own this album so I listened on Spotify. Songs are written by Bob Marley or Peter Tosh. “Stir it up” is a highlight. The Spotify version starts with “The Jamaican” version of the songs in a different order. The originals seem a little less crisp. Loved We don’t need no more trouble. I hear the band War in the funkiness.
This is a little poppy for me. I can appreciate the catchiness of the tunes and the production. I really do not relate to a lot of the lyrics. I have not spent anytime with Taylor to this point and based on this, I don't really expect too. I am going to check out the Ryan Adams version for comparison.
Right on members of the In Crowd! This slice of 60s pop has a glow about it. There are the Mama and Papa singles everyone knows and they hold up. Good harmonies and a clean mix makes this a Time Machine of an album. It did make me think of the Monkees. I also can hear the B52s in some of the harmonies. Mama and Papa Dreaming of California Makes me feel groovy
