A classic album full of good vibes. Four stars only because reggae isn't really my thing.
Nostalgia probably ranks this album higher than it should. Or Mr. Brightside gives it a huge boost. Definitely 3.5/5 stars for me.
I prefer the grunge more than the metal. Some good songs in the mix. Just not my personal style of 90s music.
A classic bluesy album. Brought me back to my Muddy Waters obsession from college.
A classic singer songwriter album. I didn't want it to end.
The perfect length for an album.
I had never listened to this album before. I am glad I got to, though I don't think I will listen to it in its entirety again.
While the back half of the album is definitely weaker than the front, I still enjoyed the entire thing.
The music was excellent but it would have been nice to hear the lyrics.
While not as vocally strong as some of his earlier albums, From Elvis in Memphis has strong bones. Kentucky Rain is a new favorite of mine, while Suspicious Minds is timeless.
Please stop giving me EDM albums
George Michael was the horniest man I have ever listened to, expect for maybe Freddie Mercury. MAYBE.
If ACDC and Led Zepplin's baby had a cousin who was friends with Queen's uncle thrice removed, you would get Slade. That said, some of the songs are genuinely good that I enjoyed listening to. It merely reminds me of bands I have heard before who did it better, with more soul. Perhaps just not as phonetically British lol
I grew up in a country-gospel-rock household. Johnny Cash was a favorite of my ma's and my grandfather. I was listening to the Man in Black when I was in diapers. I loved the work from his early days but something about the American albums makes them my favorite Johnny Era; I got really into these albums when I was in high school and college. While they are largely just covers, I wish Johnny had done more before he passed. His huskier, gravelly voice is haunting. Hurt, in particular, stays with you, transcending genre; the bridge gives me chills to this day.
John Prine, you magnificent bastard.
This album came out my freshman year of college and man does it win some nostalgia points. It is a solid pop album. Shake It Off and How You Get Girl are my only skips. I Wish You Would, Wildest Dreams, Clean, Style, I Know Places, and Blank Space are all bangers.
If this were the deluxe album, it would have five stars for me (Wonderland and You Are In Love are some of my favorites of Swizzles)
Industrial rock isn't typically my cup of tea but I enjoyed a good portion of this album.
Angry girl pop rock from the 90s? Inject it into my veins. No skips. This album is iconic.
There is not one bad song on this album.
The middle of the album starts to blend together but honestly a solid album and an absolute classic
