Liked the experimentation they did with some of the songs but they were kinda hit or miss. Some were forgettable, some were boring and a few stood out like egg man, Johnny Ryall and the sounds of science. The b-boy bouillabaisse tracks were boring for the most part.

Cosmo's Factory by Creedence Clearwater Revival

Great album. Sounds like it would be played in a road trip in a coming of age movie. Was great

McCartney by Paul McCartney

Having the added context of the album such has this being one of the factors that brought about the end of the Beatles has a band and it being written during a confused and depressed state, it explains a lot of the complaints that I have of this album. To be honest, as an album written and produced with equipment from his home, it is pretty good but it has its faults. The latter half of the album is a lot better than the beginning, which I found kind of boring. Nothing stood out and was forgettable. I still found it enjoyable.

L.A. Woman by The Doors

To be honest, I was going in to this album without any expectations and was immediately blown away by the opening track. The mix of bass with the piano and other instruments ( I don't know my instruments) makes for an incredible album, I had fun listening to this. The only track that I didn't like was cars hiss by my window. Pretty forgettable compared to the other songs that follow it .

The Last Of The True Believers by Nanci Griffith

This album blew me away. I wasn't expecting something so soft and soothing. Nanci's soft voice and lyrics sounds so comforting with the instrumentals adding a sense of nostalgia in every song. Honestly, as someone who thought that country music wasn't for me, it left me with a different opinion on the genre.

Really like the guitar in this one. Otherwise it was pretty nice but nothing to write home about.

Really liked this album not too intense but not too slow to be boring. My favorite tracks has to be lighting Hopkins, with its drums, Fireplace with that sax near the end of the track and the one I love .

Dire Straits by Dire Straits

The way in which the band make each instruments sound on the album is just so mind blowing. The way that the guitar sings on almost each of the song is just so fascinating. As someone who is starting to learn the guitar, this album will be my motivation to keep improving, learning and mastering this instrument.

OK Computer by Radiohead

A very fatalistic and nihilistic track in terms of lyrics, with a very bleak and almost hopeless sounding instrumental. Nevertheless, it was incredible with the mixes of a guitar track and the electronic influence that can be heard in some of the tracks. Overall an incredible album, I understand and agree with it being on this list. Simply a must listen.

Brilliant Corners by Thelonious Monk

Kind of forgettable as an album, none of the tracks were interesting in terms of instrumental, Which is kinda disappointing. Something you pick up once and that's it.

A very enjoyable album with a lot of variety in terms of instrumentals and sampling. An also serious message told through the lyrics in an ingenious way. Very good.

Electric Ladyland by Jimi Hendrix

The guitar is incredible in this project. Almost like it's singing along Jimi throughout the album. Simply magnificent

Gorillaz by Gorillaz
Aug 26 2024

As a debut album, it shows incredible versatility in the sound that can be made and elevate the experience on a song. To be honest I only know a few songs off of their discography, but if this is what they have to offer in every album then I'll make sure to check out their other stuff
