1001 Albums Summary

Very great for fall/autumn season. Songs I would include on a morning playlist or for a hammock on a crisp day

Okay for background music, wouldn’t be a go to if I was paying attention to the music

Never listened to this front to back before and it made me love the album even more

Staple for a feel good playlist. A little hint of throwback which is nice

Really tried to give this a chance and yet only made it through 2 songs. I can normally stomach most albums but the lyrics were garbage and honestly the overall album felt like some teenager wrote it.

Overall a good album! Nothing particularly special about it, but energy is good. I like the acoustic guitar in many of the songs and find that the music is pleasant, although sometimes it feels like the artists is singing in cursive (although that might be an accent, I haven’t done research)

Could see this being used in background music of an 80s coming of age film. Nothing particularly special, liked the electric guitar and use of cowbell. Nothing bad nothing exceptional!

One of my favorite artists from the 60s. I love much of his music. I will say that this album isn’t the best for everyday use, but an excellent add for intimate dinner nights and a relaxing cleaning Sunday. Parents used to sing me some lines off this album growing up. Album isn’t as good as some of his stand alone songs so leaving at 3

A classic. Lyricism and tone remain on top. Sticking with a 4 because it’s not an album that I would personally listen to on repeat. However I understand why it makes the list.

Average album in my opinion. Very heartfelt and maybe that’s why I’m salty about it. Overall good just not something I would listen to again

Probably the worst album yet. Experimental pop punk is not for me.

Listening to this late. Could see this as a good sound track under a chase scene from cops in an 80s movie. Overall good for background music and time piece but not something I’d listen to for the music it’s self

Listening late. Not a big MJ fan.. but cannot dispute that his vocals are insane and the musicality are phenomenal. My issue comes from the songs being overplayed. Which often signifies success in the album. Even though I’ve taken these off my playlists in many cases I cannot dispute the impact they’ve made on society

Normally love low fi music and it helps me focus but honestly couldn’t do it today. Might be the caffeine, but my anxiety was hightened listening to this album. Ultimately many of the notes put me on edge. I know that this is a me problem… but there’s just some lowfi/house music that sets my brain off this way. Not a big fan.

A fantastic album in the realm of musicality. The bongos, synth and electric guitar make this not only something you could relax on a beach to but something to cure workday blues. This music can transport you to a peaceful realm, get you groovin as well as just motivate you through a day.

I can get with this. Def not something I’d have on repeat but I vibe heavy. Would rather but at 3.5 but sticking to 3

Not my favorite genre. I can appreciate Jumi Hendrix for his skill and the importance of his music but it’s not for me.
