1001 Albums Summary

Good, but also unsettling at times

I get why it’s classic, it’s just not my era and doesn’t carry emotional weight with me

First time sitting through the full album. Opener was a surprise good song, but a lot of the other songs that aren’t classic hits weren’t that good. Kinda just worse versions of the really good songs.

Origin of ska… I mean I’m not going to listen to that a lot, but now I know!

1980. Kinda interesting to realize when exactly this album came out

These are they types of weird experimental albums I hope to find once and a while. I haven’t heard this one yet, but I recognize some of the things that they do and wonder how much that influenced bands that I’ve listened to.

Never heard it. It felt early trance hip hop

An interesting experience that reminded me of Al Stewart and the moody blues

I’ve listened to a couple of these songs so it was nice to listen to the full album.

I remember hearing these songs but didn’t know the band. Kinda wish they were a lesbian punk rock group from the name!
