1001 Albums Summary

I wasn't a big fan. There were moments where I heard the Stevie Wonder that I am most familiar with, but there were other songs that felt less funk heavy and more ... instrumental.

Some classics on this one. I liked their more punk songs. Their slower stuff was a little generic.

Lots of nostalgia with this album. Billy Corgan is brilliant and this was a great album.

I had no idea razorface was Elton John. Decent album. A little slow for my tastes, but it was undeniably Elton John.

Really liked it, and likely will continue listening. Has a fun alternative rock / electronic mix.

I know a lot of people like John Coltrane and I can't argue with the talent present, but I struggle with hearing anything other than a tasmanian devil in a kitchen with a lot of cutlery.

Interesting funk tone to it. I'm still not sure if they were singing in English or not. It was interesting background music, but hard to get into.

It's everything I expected from an Alice in Chains album. Not my cup of tea, but not bad.

It's weird how much of my musical life has been Nine Inch Nails adjacent while not really listening to them. I'm intrigued and will listen to more, but immediate impression was "yeah, I know why I didn't gravitate towards Nine Inch Nails".

This album started in a very different place than it began ... and then returned. I was very into the higher tempo more upbeat songs while the slower jazzier stuff lost my interest.

Up beat, a lot of fun.

Faust's tone didn't feel like it came from 1973. It was darker, more organic. I ended up liking them much more than expected.

It's Ella Fitzgerald. She's amazing. Full stop. I'll be listening to more of this.

Loved the guitars. Not as much a fan of the vocals. Feel like my guy needs a losenge.

Different than what I expected coming from Common but was good.
