Blood Sugar Sex Magik by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Jan 04 2024

Not a huge RHCP fan but this is their best album. Double albums can be a bit of a slog at times, and while some fat could have been trimmed this one managed to keep my interest. Some great tracks on this album, loved the bass work on the first side, guitar well done, can hardly believe John was only 21. I hate Suck My Kiss. Under the Bridge is still a great track though.

Siamese Dream by The Smashing Pumpkins
Jan 05 2024

Great album, probably their best.

Murmur by R.E.M.
Jan 06 2024

Countdown To Ecstasy by Steely Dan
Jan 08 2024

Underrated, one of their top albums. Not a bad track on here.

Savane by Ali Farka Touré
Jan 10 2024

Big blues fan but had never checked out desert blues. Interesting combination of southern blues and west African music. Really enjoyed the album, will definitely be listening to more of this artist.

I hadn't really listened to much of these guys but this show sounded awesome. More punk than expected. Will definitely be checking out more from them.

One of the best albums from one of the top bands ever.

Shaft by Isaac Hayes

Great, short album. Iconic song. I think this was supposed to link to the double album but ended up with a shorter version.

Imagine by John Lennon
Apr 17 2024

Overrated album, has some great songs but I don't get why Imagine is so popular - easily eclipsed by Jealous Guy, Gimme Some Truth.
