Great album.
Study times. Still remember them but even back then thought they were so so.
I forgot how funky they are. Awesome horns and lots of love
Not a fan them or now really
I still love this album but I think I overplayed it because it didn’t feel fresh when I relistened.
Weirdly prophetic title. Still a solid album. Very funky.
Sounds funky and angry. Its ok but was not and still isn’t my favorite.
Not bad. I’ve never listens to his music before. I guess it skims a little deeper than pop, but still to saccharine for me
I have always liked Sonic Youth but I also think if you listen to the entire album at once, it can get a little repetitive. Still , they have their own sound and you have to respect that. Kool Thing is probably the best track, although I like Dirty Boots and can hear where they must have been influenced by Violent Femmes
Soulful and satisfying.
Reminds me of a Tarantino soundtrack. I’m not mad at it.
This album is just silly. Trying to sound artsy and just silly. ‘If sex were an Olympic sport, we would win the gold ‘? Please
Just classic. The sound of the 60’s setting a high standard for those that came after. Each musician is excellent.
I forgot how good this album was. Honestly it was so popular that it was way overplayed and I was sick of it pretty quickly.
Loved this. I have only heard a few songs here and there and always found the interesting. I’m sure there are better words than haunting and thought provoking, creative and deep but right now that is what I have to describe how much I enjoyed this album.
How do you get a better than remastered Bowie ? Clean, crisp, classic. Beautiful
I really liked the instrumental arrangement but the lyrics not so much.
Not my fav but I can appreciate the music
This is why I fell in love with The Foo Fighters!
I really enjoyed this. I feel like I have heard so much of his music without knowing who it was.
This is a superb album and the most whimsical of all the Zeppelin albums with JPJ really using his keyboards and sound effects.
Melodic and weird. So many layers of sound. Experimental at its best. Still, I would put this on repeat.
So are we judging the album or the person? I read some reviews and I thought this was about the music. There is no question to this man’s talent and contribution to early rock and roll.
What could be better ? Sublime
This is what I think of when someone says Bob Dylan. He is a master but I can only listen to that voice for so long. lol.
So I was surprised how groovy this album is because I have not listened to more than part of a song every now and then. It is still out for me but I can appreciate it.
I forgot how pure his voice sounded right from the start. I realize there is a remix on this album but that’s OK because it was a great song. What a debut. The first million-selling album of the rock and rock genre. You can hear the rockabilly and touches of how he will sing gospel as well.
Not my favorite. Little too whiny to let me enjoy the melody.
I enjoyed these funky beats.
What a second act! I mean really. Haven’t listened to all the way thru for years. ❤️
It’s a’right
Such a good album
Anita is a true artist food sure. This just isn’t my jam in this particular album.
This is one of my favorite albums. Every song is a classic
This is a tough one for me. I can appreciate the artist but it is so difficult to get passed the man.
Angry, funky, classic, crucial and a poet.
This album was so good. Their use of piano and keyboards hits all the right marks. The ethereal voices. Loved giving it a new listen.
Raw. Unfiltered. Great.
This was just ok for me. I remembered not liking them very much but I gave it another listen since I had not heard it in years. I can appreciate the musicians but the songs themselves are not for me really. Michael, please dance with him so he will quit singing.
Meh
I always liked this album I just never loved it.
Have always liked this album but once I saw them live, I loved this album. One of the best live shows you will ever see. Great lyrics, such good drumming, all around entertaining
