Green River
Creedence Clearwater RevivalSinister Purpose and Green River very similar melody. Don't like their version of night time is the right time. Percussion is good. Vocals are meh. Wrote a Song for Everyone = standout track

Not one song I liked all the through. All over the place. Some tunes started to go somewhere and then abruptly went in another direction. Very very dull album. Dissapointed as I expected to like it more.
Very solid. Some very interesting piano and guitar work. Elements of rock, blues, jazz, and even ragtime. Quite varied. Jack's vocals get a bit piercing at times. Very few misses, but there are some. Not a big fan of I'm Shakin' or Take Me With You When You Go. Standout tracks: Sixteen Saltines, Weep Themselves to Sleep
Excellent album, but not quite a masterpiece. My only knocks is the sax and that some tunes feel a bit similar to others. 4.2/5
Fun, catchy, punky little album. Much more rockin' than their biggest hits would suggest. Standout songs: How Much More, Tonite, This Town
Combines three things I absolutely can't stand. Jazz, Latin music, and virtuoso guitar noodling. Hope You're Feeling Better was a good tune. Saved this from being a one.
1) Who would have thought that futuristic music from 1989 would sound dated?!?! 2)There's 40 minutes of my life I'll never get back 3) Why is this on this list?
Not exactly my style, but it was decent. Some of the songs are at least a minute or two longer than they need to be though. Standout track(s): Tam Lin
Kinda checked out here. Obviously, an iconic title track, but not a whole lot else that really grabbed my attention. Found myself waiting for it to be over about half way through.
Nothing extremely noteworthy on this album. Solid, although Very repetitive. But I guess that's reggae. Standout tracks : No More Trouble, Midnight Ravers
11th album is my favorite thus far. So tempting to give this a five and I think from Carcass on, it is. But a slightly slow start and the fact that I can think of at least a handful of post-punk albums I prefer to this, I've gotta go with a 4.4/5 Loved it though! Favorite tracks : Carcass, Mirage, Hong Kong Garden
4 because I would absolutely listen to this album again, but I'd skip a couple of tracks (Space Invader, Lovers of Today) in the future. Definitely enjoyed it though. Standout tracks: Up the Neck, Precious
Pros: Some great harmonies and instrumentation, Keith Moon at (arguably) his peak Cons: The story is so convoluted, the whole bit where his uncle sexually assaults him and his cousin beats him to a pulp are a tad dark 3/5 Favorite tracks: Pinball Wizard, 1921, Go to the Mirror, I'm Free
A couple great tunes (Play For Today, A Forest, M), but a fair amount of filler also. Not my favorite Cure album. So many better. 3.3/5
Expected more. I like noise pop, but this is too much. Jarring shifts. And "noise" does not mean the volume has to increase to the point of being obnoxious. A couple good songs but most every track ends up going off the rails at some point. And just stop with the shrill saxophone please.
Meh. It's fine.
I literally fell asleep
Tight set of songs. No weak tracks. First 5 given Favorite tracks: Requiem, Complications, Change
Ambitious double album but there are too many weak tracks. Not an awful album, but one that I was waiting for it to be over about halfway through. 2.9/5
Seminal album. Over thirty years old and sounds like it was recorded yesterday. RZA's production still sounds fresh. I looked for reasons to mark this down to a 4, but not a single weak moment. My only complaint being that it's too short.
Don't know that I'm going to rush back to hear this album again, but it was solid. 3.3/5
A couple of weak tracks (Paint a Vulgar Picture, I Won't Share You) near the end keep this album from being a 5.
Not much to say. Big let down after rumours
Having heard and liked both singles on this album, I expected a four star. Sadly those are the best tracks in the album. Nothing else stands out a whole lot, which the exception of Cold Desert. 3/5
Absolutely trash. This isn't punk rock, this is just complete nonsense. What's up with the goat noises? 0/5
Pretty generic dude rock
I won't give it one star because maybe I'm missing some brilliance, but I don't get it. Just not for me.
A few shit songs (Wild Honey Pie, Revolution 9, Don't Pass Me By), but still has to have more strong tracks than any other album in history. Can't mark it down any, honestly. 5/5
Good background music. Nothing really stands out, but it's a nice little record.
This album is a perfect example of why we need half stars. This is the exact median of music. The safest of safe. I'd give it 2.5. I'll round down because once you've heard the first thirty seconds of any of these songs, it's not going to surprise you in any way. Very safe and repetitive. Also, for a 54 minute album, this REALLY drags on. Best track : God Put a Smile Upon Your Face
I would have given this album a four if it wasn't for the same five minute spoken story within two songs.
Easiest five star I've ever given
4.5/5
For a 66 minute album, this goes by pretty quickly. Pretty decent "britpop" from an American band. I like the mouth harp. 3.2/5 Best track(s) : Every Day Should Be a Holiday, Cool As Kim Deal
I enjoy the garage production. Some killer bass on this album too. Solid 4. Best track(s): Broken Hands, Let it Slide
One of those bands that I've liked most everything I've heard, but just haven't ever listened to an album in full. This was a good start. Very solid start to finish. 4.25/5 Favorite track: I Want to Be the Boy to Warm Your Mother's Heart
I don't want to judge too harshly because I really know nothing about jazz, and I'm sure this was an influential album and probably very nuanced and ect. But strictly based on the criteria of do I want to hear this album again, no I do not. Just not my taste.
3/5
Fairly average 60s pop. Pleasant album though.
3/5
One of those albums that I was just waiting for it to be over about half way through. The penultimate song is called Strugglin' and it's very appropriately named.
