Liked a lot. Already knew and loved Pot Kettle Black but I like the others now too! Especially War on War.

Aqualung by Jethro Tull
Mar 12 2024

LOVE that flute, Ian Anderson’s voice sometimes reminds me of Bowie, and if you told me “My God” was in Jesus Christ Superstar I’d believe you. Super cool listening to the interview at the end and his love for cozy studio spaces and how he doesn’t like to play simple songs. If we could do partial stars I’d rate it a 3.8, I’m a harsh critic.

War by U2
Mar 13 2024

I never listened to U2 because I held a grudge against them for throwing that album on my iPod back when I was like 10. They surprised me, I didn’t know what I was missing! Really enjoyed. 3.65

Live! by Fela Kuti
Mar 16 2024
Calenture by The Triffids
Mar 17 2024

Not for me!

Awesome. My only qualm is how similar each song sounds upon first listen— but I listened a second time and it made it easier to appreciate each song for what it is. I knew about Sid and Nancy but I had never really listened to Sex Pistols—this was great and exactly what I expected! But I might prefer The Clash when it comes to 70s punk? Don’t quote me on that. 3.8

Graceland by Paul Simon
Mar 19 2024

Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes bumped this up a full star! A couple of the songs were waaay too 80s for my liking— I don’t like that Phil Collins-y drum, especially when it comes out of nowhere… but I like Paul Simon and I really enjoyed this album.

Goo by Sonic Youth
Mar 20 2024

I already knew Disappearer and Tunic (Song for Karen), but I had never listened to the full record. I’m pleased and not surprised by what I heard! I am definitely a fan but I have to be in a certain mood to listen to them.

The Blueprint by JAY Z
Mar 22 2024

Eh, no thanks. I find his rapping boring. Some of the beats were okay, but I’m also not really a modern rap girl and I don’t really like him… pass!

Rio by Duran Duran
Mar 23 2024

I hate 80s music, so I always thought I’d hate Duran Duran! Au contraire! I really enjoyed this album— totally unexpected.

Live At The Regal by B.B. King
Mar 26 2024

Yes Yes Yes!!! I really loved Help the Poor and Please Love Me.

Fear and Whiskey by Mekons
Mar 27 2024

This might not be a fair rating because I only had time to listen to three songs today but I didn’t like them. Sorry!

Imagine by John Lennon
Mar 28 2024

I like this album, I’ve heard it before, but I honestly think he needs the rest of the Beatle Boys to make magic.

Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Mar 29 2024

Not sure if it was just my mood or the sunny day, but I really loved this album. I also like Neil Young already so I’m a little biased, Harvest Moon is my morning alarm, but this had a really unique sound and style.

Mar 30 2024

Really enjoyed! 3.8 to be exact. Got bored during City, Country, City but loved the other ones.

The La's by The La's
Apr 05 2024

A star for each song I actually enjoyed.

Iron Maiden by Iron Maiden
Apr 06 2024

Not my kind of thing but I can definitely appreciate it for what it is— does make me want to dance and… dare I say… head-bang?

Superfuzz Bigmuff by Mudhoney
Apr 08 2024

Remember my middle school boyfriend Sam Peters? His dad is the OG drummer. I liked this! Reminds me of Nirvana’s debut, which makes sense.

Unknown Pleasures by Joy Division
Apr 11 2024

I just have never really liked them, some songs were okay.

Oxygène by Jean-Michel Jarre
Apr 12 2024

Awesome. Dystopian and fun. Felt like I should be hunting down Toecutter.

Bookends by Simon & Garfunkel
Apr 13 2024

“Bookends Theme - Reprise” has been one of my favorite songs for a long time, it always makes me want to cry. I really liked most of these songs, I love them. Sorry. I’m such a sap. But! I was a little disappointed in the record as a whole. Would still listen in my free time. 3.6.

LP1 by FKA twigs
Apr 14 2024

Interesting, but no.

Hejira by Joni Mitchell
Apr 21 2024
The Visitors by ABBA
Apr 22 2024

I thought I would hate this because I’m not the biggest ABBA fan. But I enjoyed it so much! Especially because I know things like Muriel’s Wedding and Mamma Mia and playing Dancing Queen on everyone’s 17th birthday came from them.

Blood On The Tracks by Bob Dylan
Apr 23 2024

I like Buckets of Rain the best (if you wanted to know). I love Bob. None of my favorite songs of his are on here but I still always enjoy his music, he reminds Lola of her grandfather who used to make folk music so I always think of her and him when I listen. 3.7.

Rattlesnakes by Lloyd Cole And The Commotions
Apr 24 2024

At first I was laughing. It was funny! Like Pop Goes my Heart from Music and Lyrics! But… I think somewhere around “Forest Fire” … it wasn’t funny anymore. It was so bad, so stupid, I stopped laughing! Oh, well.

Joan Baez by Joan Baez
Apr 25 2024

Loved this. Maybe became a little tiresome after an hour but every song felt like a lullaby and I want to hear Papa play and sing all of them.

Get Behind Me Satan by The White Stripes
Apr 27 2024

2.5. Some songs were listenable but overall it felt like they were trying to parody the Stones (and it didn’t work).

Grace by Jeff Buckley
Apr 29 2024

Already know and love. 4.2. RIP :(

Urban Hymns by The Verve
Apr 30 2024

I enjoyed this a lot! Totally new to me (besides track 1 which bothers me a little at this point). I give it a 3.2.

The Healer by John Lee Hooker
May 03 2024

3.6– really liked!
