Africa Brasil by Jorge Ben Jor
Mar 19 2024

Very different from what I usually listen to, loved the variety of instruments. The first song was a banger which I actually knew because its about a soccer player. The rest of the songs didn't interest me, not big into samba or how much he "talk-sings". Taj Mahal was really weird - wish I knew what he was singing about.

Marcus Garvey by Burning Spear
Mar 20 2024

Wasn't my cup of tea, but led me to learning who Marcus Garvey was and what an interesting guy.

Hot Rats by Frank Zappa
Mar 21 2024

Was not a fan

Triangle by The Beau Brummels
Mar 22 2024

Classic 60' psychedelia rock, these guys were on some fun drugs. Love the lyrical imagery. Painter of Women reminded me a lot of david bowie. Magic Hollow had lots of fun instruments but was really creepy. I wouldn't listen often but could be good for a chill campfire night.

Mar 25 2024

What is there to say but a classic. Just Bob telling us how it is. By the end it got a bit repetitive so I would usually listen to the songs on their own and not all at once.

Innervisions by Stevie Wonder
Mar 26 2024

It is just so good.

Dirty by Sonic Youth
Mar 27 2024

I have wanted to like Sonic Youth but in the end its just too much noise for me and their alternative tunings weird me out. Love the female frontman and the lyrics are great, I just can't get into it

Grace by Jeff Buckley
Mar 28 2024

He had a really interesting voice and way of playing. I liked his lyrics. Not sure I would listen often but found it very enjoyable.

Bad Company by Bad Company
Mar 29 2024

This is my music here, probably going to be called Dad rock by others. Just great jams that remind me of listening to classic rock in my brother's car when he drove me to school. Their eponymous song is still just a classic I will never get tired of.

With The Beatles by Beatles
Apr 01 2024

I mean. It’s the Beatles. Really cool to listen to some of the less famous songs, but not my overall favorite album by them.

...Baby One More Time by Britney Spears
Apr 03 2024

Says a lot that I still know all the words to even the less known songs.

Headquarters by The Monkees
Apr 05 2024

Good chill background music but wouldn’t seek out

Play by Moby
Apr 08 2024

Surprised I recognized a few songs. No idea what was he saying half the time. Good background music

Born To Run by Bruce Springsteen
Apr 16 2024

An all time favorite. Its just always so good

Giant Steps by The Boo Radleys
Apr 17 2024

Not a shoegaze fan

Surrealistic Pillow by Jefferson Airplane
Jan 07 2025

I didn't realize how many of these songs I knew. Fun 60s jams

Moon Safari by Air
Jan 08 2025

Weird french songs that made me sleepy

Car Wheels On A Gravel Road by Lucinda Williams
Jan 09 2025

Really ended up loving this one. Great storytelling and just chill vibes. Saved a lot of songs to my playlists.

1984 by Van Halen
Jan 13 2025

Loved the classics, was eh on the others. Hot for Teacher did not age well

Sound of Silver by LCD Soundsystem
Jan 14 2025

LCD soundsystem is one of those bands i have always tried to like but I just don't get them. The songs are really long and repetitive. I know All My Friends is a famous song, and it had good lyrics but the repetitive A minor chord hurt my head after two minutes.

Songs Of Love And Hate by Leonard Cohen
Jan 15 2025

You can tell he started out as a poet. The Joan of Arc song was super weird but interesting

Rio by Duran Duran
Jan 28 2025

All the songs start to sound the same after a while. Rio and Hungry like the wolf are bangers, rest are just okay

Central Reservation by Beth Orton
Jan 29 2025

Her voice is beautiful, lyrics poignant, and guitar calming. But I was way too sleep to make it through the chillness of this album

White Light by Gene Clark
Jan 30 2025

Just some good heartfelt, acoustic music. little chill for my tastes

The Gershwin Songbook by Ella Fitzgerald
Feb 03 2025

Amazing but didn't listen to it all. Picked and chose my way through it

Franz Ferdinand by Franz Ferdinand
Feb 05 2025

Brought me back! Some good jams

Justified by Justin Timberlake
Feb 13 2025

I can't believe I use to love this. Pretty generic pop listening again, but some solid songs

Abraxas by Santana
Feb 18 2025

Revived my middle school obsession with santana

Remain In Light by Talking Heads
Feb 24 2025

Once in a Lifetime is a fav of mine, had never heard the other songs but was really enjoyed them as background music while working

Femi Kuti by Femi Kuti
Feb 27 2025

As a sax player myself, I really enjoyed putting this on as background music. That guy sure can jam

Live At Leeds by The Who
Feb 28 2025

Not the biggest on live albums, but this made me wish i was alive to see them live at their height. The Who was one of my favorite "Dad bands" when i was young. 15 minutes of My Generation was a bit extensive though
