Soul Mining by The The

Suited to some background music for a movie

Frank by Amy Winehouse
Mar 14 2024

Very similar songs, easy listening, smooth but not a huge fan of her

So by Peter Gabriel
Mar 16 2024

Not bad, enjoyed his one famous song. The rest were fine

Mar 17 2024

Not normally into rap but did enjoy it. Can see how the lyrics caused a stir at the time

Mar 19 2024

Loved, great to hear the whole album and how they play around with the different sounds and not just bohemian rhapsody

Homework by Daft Punk
Mar 20 2024

Not the vibe I was looking for driving to work. No lyrics all dance/club beats, maybe one of them here and there before going out but couldn’t listen to the album fully again

Shleep by Robert Wyatt
Mar 24 2024
The Scream by Siouxsie And The Banshees
Mar 25 2024

Didn’t really enjoy this

This Year's Model by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Mar 26 2024

Easy listening, picture this stuff on at a dance bar back in the day

Soul Mining by The The
Mar 28 2024

Suited to some background music for a movie

Siamese Dream by The Smashing Pumpkins
Mar 29 2024

Slow rock, easy to listen to, a couple of popular songs on it

Machine Head by Deep Purple
Mar 30 2024

Great guitar solos, felt like the whole album had a slightly dark mellow vibe. Easy listen

Apr 01 2024

I mean I might be biased but I love this album, brings back a lot of nostalgia. Enjoy the overall feel and theme of it, the slight electronic beat with great vocals

Young Americans by David Bowie
Apr 02 2024

Sounds like the type of music I would put on to start some intimate sex, nice bit of saxophone. Enjoyable

Exile On Main Street by The Rolling Stones
Apr 03 2024

To be honest I didn’t really feel much listening to this. Was nice background stuff but at no point had me popping or want to sing along. Good but ehh

Porcupine by Echo And The Bunnymen
Apr 05 2024

Ehh, I dunno, like it wasn’t bad I just didn’t really vibe.

Harvest by Neil Young
Apr 06 2024

Great track, really took me back to working in the butchers. Enjoy all of the vocals and guitar throughout

Imagine by John Lennon
Apr 07 2024

Enjoyed the light hearted guitar towards the end of the album. Started off a bit moody but also enjoyed the piano work. Fairly easy listen

Look it wasn’t the worst album but I felt all of the lyrics and songs quite repetitive. On top of that I could barely understand what they were actually singing about as most of the lyrics are half yelled, drowned by the other instruments and slurred. Eh

The Yes Album by Yes
Apr 09 2024

I just feel like there’s a lot of finger picking and acoustic guitar solos throughout this album. I’m not saying I’m against it but there’s only so much one person can handle. It sounded like I was walking past a busker on the side of the road who just kept walking behind me strumming away

Apr 10 2024

The first 80% of this album feels like a traditional 80s rock album. Different to the vibe of the first Queen album I’ve listened to, it then evolves into a more experimental vibe more similar to the other album. A pleasant listen all around

Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys
Apr 11 2024

A few classics scattered throughout here, just some standard British pop. Didn’t love it but I still find quite a few of their songs enjoyable

Aja by Steely Dan
Apr 14 2024

Jazz vibe to this one, quite a lot of saxophone which was enjoyable but not something I would listen to regularly. Another semi abduction album as I would put it, maybe some background music whilst you’ve come back home from a date and trying to get those romantic scenes going. A fine album, some songs feel like they dragged on a while too long

Green River by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Apr 15 2024

Unoffensive, some nice guitar throughout

The Gershwin Songbook by Ella Fitzgerald
Apr 16 2024

I think this was meant to go along with a play or some type of screenwrite? I dunno I found it really really hard to get through this album. It ground my gears, just didn’t seem like something anyone would listen to outside of its original intent

Konnichiwa by Skepta
Apr 18 2024

He sounds like stormzy just a bit more scat. Overall enjoyed the sound of this album even if I’m not into rap that much. Had me moving my head.

Elvis Is Back by Elvis Presley
Apr 19 2024

Super easy to listen to this album. Elvis’s voice is so recognizable and enjoyable. Don’t know if I just rated that this album was on 31 minutes or the fact that none of the songs went over 3 mins each but rest vibed that. Would listen again.

OK Computer by Radiohead
Apr 21 2024

Mellow vibes, very similar to a muse kind of sound. Enjoyed, to be honest never really listened to much radio head but I’d give it another go

The Nightfly by Donald Fagen
Apr 22 2024

Another jazz, saxophone kind of album. Not the best, not the worst. Similar to this very average review

Elephant by The White Stripes
Apr 23 2024

I mean I could just be super basic and give it 5 stars just for 7 nations army, but honestly I thought the rest of the album slapped too

Ogden's Nut Gone Flake by Small Faces
Apr 24 2024

The whole vibe of this album makes me feel like I’m watching a Monty python film. It’s enjoyable but a little strange.

Penthouse And Pavement by Heaven 17
Apr 26 2024

I was getting to the end of this album thinking ah yeah 2 stars, feels like I’ve been abducted by a 80s sci fi film. Then I had a couple good songs come through and was like okay maybe 3 stars. Nope definitely 2, turns out those last couple songs weren’t from the album and was just Spotify playing a new album

Raising Hell by Run-D.M.C.
Apr 27 2024

All the lyrics are just entertaining, had me popping my head almost the entire album

Kimono My House by Sparks
Apr 28 2024

I wish there was the decimal point system because I think this is better than a 2 but not quite a three. I would almost listen to it again but probably not. The guitar and pitch of the lyrics throughout are enjoyable but I dunno

Who's Next by The Who
May 01 2024

I don’t know why but every time I think of the who I can’t not think about the simpsons episode with them in it. Easy listening but find the lyrics a little raspy for me

May 02 2024

Dark and gloomy, can’t work out whether old mate is scratching the record back and forth to get those sounds or if it’s actually coming from his voice. Either way it gets old quickly.
