Harvest
Neil YoungNot for me.
Not for me.
Torture in album form
Sadly, I didn't enjoy it as much. But it's clearly well-made, and Purple Rain is forever a classic.
First half is an absolute banger, the second half... just as good!
Excelent swing music, got me hyped for the movie. It's just not my personal style.
Gives me Rocky Horror Picture Shows energy. I loved it.
Not for me.
Uplifting melodies for tested lyrics
Probably re-listen to it when you get older.
Insanely good. One of the most solid openings in the music industry. It's a little long and it has some downs, but it's a masterpiece.
Sabotage is one of my favorite tracks ever. The rest of this album I just don't get. Feels disconnected from itself.
Voice + piano, Carole King made it looks easy
A jazz masterpiece
Pretty unique, quite amazed I haven't heard of them before
Too much "soulful rich white girl" vibe
It's like I'm listening to a failed drunk Bob Dylan. I like it.
Didn't get it. No re-listen.
Masterpiece
Better the first half
Nah
Britain pop is fun, is witty, it's classic :)
The album is really fine, not particularly something I'd listen to most days, but it's entirely solid. The thing is I had a completely different idea over Arcade Fire, qnd this project made me give them a chance and went ahead and... now I'm wondering what else I cast aside for thinking I wasn't the public
Good album, I feel like Kanye's is too present in the whole (obv, bus too much) Still, good message, solid rapping.
I don't really think Queen Latifah's voice works for rapping... but it's a fine album nonetheless. Fav track: The Pro's
No
As a non-USA resident, I felt like I lived in the USA, great job! It means the music worked the magic :) Fav track: Born in the USA
Hell yeah
Can't NOT think of Donni Darko with this one, both are great
"Oh, it's the meme album" Then it was everything but. Amazing album, got a place in my mind forever now. Favorite track: The Chain
Gave me a headache, but the raw punk energy is always very refreshing. Favorite track: No More
Timeless, I actually don't quite love the last half of the album, but I can't force myself to give it less than 5 stars. Favorite track: In Bloom
Can't digest it in a day, got re-listen to it many times over
Pretty unique piece of art, it does have a young adult white girl vibe, but I'd recommend everyone to give it a try. Favorite track: The Hut of Baba Yaga
It's okay, I actuslly would like to re-listen to it
It's like they made up a bunch of songs just to sell to generic romcoms. Favorite track: the only one that wouldn't fit in a romcom
I'd give it an solid 8, it's everything I like about the OG rap scene, great samples, great story
Not really innovative, somewhat good to vibe with. The definition of mid.
The Clash just never ceases to amaze
Takes great references of music to make good music. This album has variety, experiments, and I'd bet it influenced indirectly some music I like from Jack Stauber. I wouldn't say there were any memorable tracks to me though.
Torture in album form
Probably you had to be there to get it, I wasn't.
So ahead of his time it's impressive.
If a whole night of dreaming was made into album form. Its themes are intringuing, the singing is onirical, such a pleasant surprise Only downside, maybe, is that i can't see me listening to a single hit, it's more like a whole experience to listen to on dreamy sundays
Boring, uninspired. The vocalist's voice reminds me of Beto Guedes, which I like a lot, but it's not captivating.
Awful lol
Solid album, authentic, youthful
The vocals of Kate Bush are undeniable. The whole album sounds like a theater play. But I sure am not the targeted public.
Absolutely in love with this album. I must say US country music won't ever touch my urban brazilian heart as hard, but I can still appreciate the emotional vocals and soulful melody. Fav Track: Coat of Many Colors
Timeless album, one can actually pinpoint how this masterpiece got referenced or influenced other media that came after. It's so well produced it's tough to acknowledge how experimental it is also. I personally don't think I'm aged enough to fully appreciate it, thus the 4 stars, but I'll surely come back to this one every year. Fav tracks: Joy Inside My Tears
Witty, funny, sentimental, every tracks pops like a surprise, this is a new must-hear to me. Fav. Track: Broken Drum
Big, powerful samples, classic quotes.
I never knew MGMT, only by some memes with Eletric Feel. Even though I am a 90's kid, it just didn't make its way to me I suppose. That's what I love about this project, I had a streak of bad albums that took me a while to recover from, but I'm so glad when I got back I got an absolute string of bangers, and this one takes it. Cheerful party music that wasn't afraid of sounding meaningful. And I'd bet at the time they were considere shallow, but anyone that listen to this album will be able to say all tracks still hold up in lyrics and melody. An absolute must-hear-multiple-times-before-even-generating-the-next-suggestion. The only track I didn't quite enjoy was 4th Dimesion, so... Fav Track: all of them
not for me, really 😅 The vocals are good-ish, lyrics are mid, melody (or better yet, the solos) is great.
I knew Ozomatli from Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3, by the song "Cut Chemist Suite", which is a masterpiece (mostly in the voice of 2Na Fish, possibly the most underrated rap vocalist ever). The samples are wild on the whole Street Signs, they are witty, culturally rich, it's like the producer is a big history nerd. That said, few songs actually caught me, possibly only Who's to Blame (bc of 2Na fish rapping, of course) and my Fav. track: Saturday Night
Great album, though I just heard Songs in The Key of Life and it pales in comparison. Fav. Track: Living for the City, Higher Ground
I physically felt sick, like when you eat too much candy. So repetitive it seemed like torture at some point. And I can't tell which one is torturing my ears the most, the male vocalist or the synthetizer+drums combo. By far the only redeeming factor are the feminine vocals. Fav. Track: Flesh and Blood.
Properly diagnosed with a case of "every song is okay, but none are reamarkably good". Also, too heavy on the trumpet. Also, commentaries are clearly filled of nostalgia.
A timeless classical and a great entry for eletronic music, which is surely not my thing. Can't deny Da Funk and Around the World though, those are simply memetic DNA since launch
