Hm I didn’t dislike it. I felt like it started off stronger and then just sort of went on for a little too long with the latter half being a lil too similar. But I liked it! I’d listen to it in the background happily. But I’m not like ITCHING to re-listen to it as much.
Once again, I didn’t dislike any of what I was listening to but it wasn’t the sort of stuff I ACHE to listen to again and again with all my attention. It’s good for the background. Cmon gimme another album like the first one I got!!
I’ve ofc heard some little Richard over the years, but never a full album. so it was fun! just enjoyable upbeat stuff that makes ya feel nice.
Alright well I listened to about half of it and I’m unsure of if I’ll listen to the rest later bc I’m sorta busy but like. Look I get these are all good albums and I acknowledge that. I ain’t saying this is crap music. But I didn’t really enjoy listening to the first half of this album. It wasn’t for me.
Okay now this I really dig. Haha surprise surprise I like the electronic-y album and band. I dunno who these dudes are and maybe that’s stupid of me bc they have 4mil monthly Spotify listeners it seems! But I liked this. made me think of the film scores I like by Trent reznor and Atticus Ross combined with the soundtrack to ATV Offroad Fury 2 on the ps2 which I played a lot as a child.
Wowza. Wasn’t sure I’d be able to listen to a 2 hour album atm but nope made time and it was so nice to this while sitting by the water. I started reading while listening, and then a fourth through the album I stopped reading and just was listening. I definitely think the first disc was better than disc 2, although there were still plenty of great songs in the second half. I’m between rating this a 4 and a 5….because so many songs are just so lovely (a handful I knew already yayyyy), but there are also a handful that I didn’t LOVE. But that’s a small handful. 90% gorgeous.
So there were definite song highlights that I enjoyed quite a bit. And as a whole, decent album. There were just also a few points where it sorta meshed together and lulled but not really in a way I thought was BAD. But like. Not really in a standout way. And then that’d be broken up by a song that DID stand out and I was like hell yeah we’re back! So if I could, I’d give it a 3.5. But I can’t do that. So we’ll see if I end up on a 3 or a 4.
Wasn’t sure if I’d have time to get to this today but yayyyy I had time and it was the perfect sorta album to listen to while being in boring meetings all day and finally having a chance to listen to music again while finishing up the work day. Another case of “a couple songs really stood out, but most were just generally nice to listen to.” No real complaints. Really nice.
This is perfectly inoffensive, I wasn’t sitting there like “OH GOD TURN IT OFF!” But the entire time I was just thinking yeah this is fine I guess. This sounds like music. But the albums from this list are from a book called “1001 albums to listen to before you die” or something, and I don’t know that I NEEDED to listen to this before I die. Idk maybe one day I’ll learn that I did. But I don’t think this music will impact me in any grander scale. It was fine. But fine is just fine.
Cardinal sin of being boring idk. I wasn’t offended I guess. Just bored, gomen.
I’d ideally give it a 3.5 because I did like it, but I felt like it got weaker as it went on. But generally good background listening.
It was nice! I don’t loooooove albums over 50 minutes tho generally I’m learning tho. It doesn’t mean I’ll hate it, and I didn’t hate this. I just at that point start to feel a lil tired out in a listen-through if it isn’t something I LOVE. But it was okay. Some songs stood out, so that’s a win enough for me.
It was a nice listen and I just generally enjoyed it. Maybe it’s more of a 3.5 but I’m feeling generous. I dunno I liked it. I wasn’t going crazy or anything, but yeah good.
I’m sorry, but no. The songs felt like the fake songs in the movie Ishtar but I liked those more because I could see the passion in their eyes because it was a movie.
I’m not a massive folk listener, I don’t listen to it often or know much by any means…but sometimes I do like a little folk and have an itch to scratch. This was a nice album to scratch the itch I occasionally get. :) a couple of the songs I liked less than others, but generally easy listening. First half was better than the second though.
I mean people like Queen, it’s just solid music. But I’m not like a Queen head so it’s doesn’t make me go CRAZY PUMPED! I’m just like “oh cool this is nice!”
3.5 for that reason.
Okay I absolutely liked this more than the previous Bob Dylan album I listened to (Blonde on Blonde). I’m still not blown away, but the whole listening experience was fine and there were a handful of songs I’d listen to again. I guess that’s a win enough for me after not really liking the last one.
I’m a David bowie enjoyer ofc but not like the biggest expert ever who knows every album and song. One of those artists I think is awesome but casually so and haven’t listen to albums from back to front. So I dooooo feel like this didn’t include as many of my favorites of his and was solid but coulda had a touch more. But still epic.
3.5/5. Pretty consistently solid with a few standout songs. I enjoyed it, but I’m not deeply impacted by any of it. Would listen to again though.
I have no idea how to feel about this lmao. Starting off with a 20 minute song is bold, and tbh that song was probably my standout. It had some parts I dug. But it kinda went downhill after and nothing super perked up my ears. 2.5.
It’s not bad, it just didn’t really do anything for me.
Fun album, no real complaints ^_^
Kinda more of a 2.5 bc it just felt very middle of the road to me. It was fine. Nothing stood out to me.
I dunno just plain enjoyable, not surprising duh ^_^ lots of familiar classics.
Hmmm I was looking forward to this one bc I know a handful of Steely Dan songs and I really like those songs buuuuut they’re all from Can’t Buy a Thrill…and ehhhhh this album didn’t quite get me as excited as those songs do. So I should just listen to that full album.
Just plain fun ^_^ also whenever I think of cyndi lauper I now think of a time a year ago when a parking garage attendant told me I looked like her and I was like oh thanks tbh I don’t really know what she looks like and then I looked up her picture and I was like damn that’s an awesome compliment.
Easy enjoyable listening; electronic stuff is always nice.
Ehhhh i dunno not awful by any means, it just didn’t do much for me.
Just relaxing and enjoyable :)
Generally pretty chill with a few standout songs.
It’s talking heads, man. I wouldn’t say this is my favorite stuff I’ve ever heard by em, but it’s still good duhhhhh
Two talking heads albums in a row :0 hm I liked this one a little less though. Fine, but not as good as some of their other stuff.
Really fun, plenty of songs I’d listen to again happily! When it came up on the generator, the band name and album cover looked soooo familiar and I was trying to figure out what song(s) I maybe knew from the album and nothing seems familiar from the title but then oh the song I knew came up and I was like ohhhhhhh.
Kinda a tiny tiny bit different from the Radiohead albums I’m familiar with, but still plenty of standouts and still really good!
Awesomeness. So glad I finally listened to this entire album.
Hmmmmm was going back and forth between a 4 and a 5 but I feel like it deserves a 5 bc I’m feeling generous. Really enjoyed it, plenty I’ll def be listening to again.
I don’t know, I wasn’t offended by this. Wasn’t sitting there hating it. But if this came on in a restaurant, it’d be music that I wouldn’t even notice and would have no reaction to because I’d forget what it sounded like immediately.
It was neat to recognize a couple of songs!
I like Nine Inch Nails ^_^
Really cool! Didn’t know about this at all :0
It didn’t piss me off or anything, but it sure did absolutely nothing for me.
