Woodface
Crowded HouseJust an amazing album, weather with you, four seasons in one day and Fall at your feet are just phenomenal songs. Top 3 album for me

A good album from one of my favourite bands, it’s not as good as “meat is murder” or “the smiths” but it does contain my favourite smiths song of all time “there is a light that never goes out” so I’ve got a lot of time and love for it.

Best album of all time.
It was nice, good change of pace. I really liked Marty Groves, but no better than a 2.5, but I’ll round up.
Deacon Blues is such a good song, I really enjoyed that
Overall this album which is very similar to Engelbert Humperdincks whole thing was fairly enjoyable. “Jackie” was the first and best song of the album and then they all did start to sound the same. Perhaps the novelty of a man yapping over an orchestra had dilapidated quite quickly?
One of my favourites ever. It’s got some iconic ones: Brothers in arms, walk of life and money for nothing. But also some more blues/ swinging music in Your latest trick which I really like.
Overall notes - Big fan of REM so knew this would be an easy listen before bed, there’s no obviously weak links and every song holds its own however “I remember California” was too repetitive and too long. “Stand” and “Orange Crush” became new favourites and are now on the playlist. Thoroughly enjoyed the album, hope more REM is on the list!
I know it’s iconic, but it’s not my favourite genre of music
It’s just really cool
I know it’s meant to be alternative and experimental, but it wasn’t for me and didn’t end up finishing the album.
Opening song being “foxy lady” was my favourite added it was in THAT scene in Wayne’s World. However the rest of the songs started to sound the same, but some bright spots being “Fire” and “Purple Haze” as they were faster tempo and shorter than the others. Wasn’t a fan of “Are you experienced?” as the last few minutes it just sounded like a lot of unorganised noice which I know Hendrix is known for that but it is always for me.
Hey Ya is fun, I really enjoyed some of the hip hop rap that Outkast isn’t normally known for. But it is two albums so it’s fairly long. Almost two hours I think
I really enjoyed 70s soul music so it makes sense that this is one my favourite albums ever. Every song is solid and is memorable on their own but “Let’s stay together” is just the full package and that’s why it’s my first 10/10 song. It’s just so good. Al Green is just talented in every sense of the word.
It’s a great album with some great songs, especially Jump and Panama (SORTED) IYKYK
It was alright I guess
Obviously very similar to the beach boys so I did like it, but it got very repetitive after a while. However I did really like “Heroes and Villains” as it felt like five different songs in one, very interesting
It went on for a while, not a massive fan to be honest
WENT ON FOREVER
His voice is a bit boring and the instrumentals were a little long and boring.
I really liked that, it was really calming and I enjoyed Carvo E Canela and San Vicente even though I didn’t understand of it!
I’m personally calling out Joe, he’s wrong because this album is a rock masterclass. Basket Case is a top 10 1990s rock song
THAT WENT ON FOREVER, THAT WAS MUMBLING WITH A BASS GUITAR
WHAT A VOICE, iconic
Sweet Child of Mine, Welcome to the Jungle and Paradise City are just class
Psycho Killer was fun, but didn’t love it
Overrated, there’s a few good songs but cmon. Really nothing special
A nice album from an early 2000s Aussie band. A trick of light being my favourite song.
Enjoyed it, I hadn’t really listened to much of U2 before but it was nice. Would love to listen to more of their stuff. The fly was probably my favourite song.
A bit quirky, but it was fun. I really liked Buffalo Gals.
Really liked debaser and here comes your man
Such a good album, get it on is such a sick song, but Cosmic Dancer is also a banger.
Fin De Siecle is one of my favourite albums of all time but this one is just too lovey dovey. We get it bro you like her. This is not an album for the chronically single. It’s a low rating for the album not the artist.
Never listened to any of buffalo’s stuff before but for a group that wasn’t around long, really really enjoyable.
It’s Johnny Cash, he’s the goat.
Who doesn’t love the pretenders, it’s not their best album so I’ll rank it down but it’s still really good!
Super groovy and fun listening, abit long for the kind of music it was. But will definitely give some his other stuff a listen! Survival was my favourite song.
Sounded like many British bands of that late 70s time, felt like the Siouxsie and the Bandhees, Talking Heads or even the Psychedelic Furs just produced new music. It wasn’t bad just not insanely original.
I enjoyed it way more than I thought I would to be honest
It was ok, I’m not a massive fan of U2 trying to be political
Fun, it’s a genre I’ve never really heard before
I didn’t mind, sounded a bit like lift music
Pretty cool, very 60ish but it was very groovy
Actually really cool, I don’t normally like experimental stuff but this was awesome techno.
Really good, Luck of Lucian is one of my favourite songs of all time, so it was really nice to hear it on hear.
Love Belinda Carlisle and Slidmarks on the heart is a class name for a song.
It’s an experiment rock album soooooo
So so weird, he just kept moaning
Really fun album, will listen to more of there stuff. 5/5
Actually really enjoyed it, it was a little bit different to the Led Zeppelin I usually listen to. Moby Dick had a really cool Congo solo in it.
Just an amazing album and bohemian rhapsody is just sounds phenomenal on this recording.
One of my favourite albums ever, every song is just so good, no clangers all bangers as my dad would say. 6 stars if I could.
