R.E.M.Bad
Bad
Hell yeah
Every song sounds the same. Boring.
Kinda funky jam tunes. Pretty boomer-y but not bad.
Pure noise pollution. Obviously influential but not my taste.
Nah.
Peak hillbilly/stoner/hippy jams plus a song from the office.
Iconic. Best in class.
Pretty cool but not something I would ever really listen to again. DKA Twigs starts to sound repetitive after like three songs.
Shuffle blues. Old school
This album is over 2 hours. I didn’t even get through half of it, but I’ve heard better from Otis Redding and way better in Soul
“Punk”-type of metal. Started out good but got old fast. I like the instrumentation but hate the vocals.
Eh. Beatles + Pink Floyd + 80s. Too long for me at 2 hrs. 2.5/5
Classic oldie. 3.75/5
Classical Pharrell - hip hop w/ rock and pop
Yes.
Cool but somewhat unremarkable on the first listen.
Was not expecting to like this at all but actually did in the end. Portugal the Man x Gorillas x Radiohead. Nice.
Couple decent songs here and there but overall not my style. 2.5/5
It’s okay I guess if you can channel some inner crusty artsy hippiness and ignore the hideous harmonica every other song. 1.5 good songs on here but I’m pretty much never in the middle for this kind of music.
I mean….. cmon.
Not bad
Old school east coast style. It’s okay
Pretty chill
Uh what
Super mid
It’s alright but not often in the mood for this kind of music
Cheeks
I just don’t like it.
Really really bad 1.5/2
Kinda gas actually. Mellow acoustic guitar with dramatic orchestral bits mixed in. A few duds throughout tho
Boring and pretentious
Dece
Kinda cool. Kind of metal(core?)-ish with the clean vocal and dirty instrumentation switch off
Only known non-chemical cure for insomnia.
Bad
Confusing and forgettable
Kinda mid but at least it’s not another mind-numbing boring pretentious rock album
At last it’s only 15 minutes, buts it’s 15 minutes I’ll never get back.
Classic bossa. Getting slightly tired of hearing the same standards on a lot of bossa nova albums, but whatever, I can’t not give this a 5
Super cool. Sounds like a video game sound track.
I mean objectively this is good, but I’m never really listening to this kind of conscious music.
Lots got a few fun songs
Worth a listen.
Some great songs. Definitely worth the (re)listen, just not really my type of music.
Babe I’m Gonna Leave You and Dazed and Confused are great songs. The rest - eh. I give it 3.5/5 but for its iconic-ness and influence it gets a 4.
I like this more than I realized before. Really like it, but idk how often I would listen to this tbh. 4.6/5
Tracy Chapman is clearly a very good artist. Some really good songs on here with strong messages. However, I don’t see myself listening to this pretty much ever.
Meh - not really my thing at all. And the more I hear Kate Bush’s voice the more I find it kinda annoying to be honest. 2.8/3
Not my thing but at least better than the last Sonic Youth album I listened to (Daydream Nation).
It’s okay actually. Definitely a few duds but also a couple cool songs
Kinda cool
It’s pretty good but starts to get boring after a while (2+ hrs long). Low 4
Grateful Dead x Radiohead. Eh
Incredibly mid. Low 3
Super mid low 3
Even if I’m not gonna listen to this a lot, it has to be a 5. The storytelling, production, artistry are all second to none.
Pretty classic bluesy rock, which isn’t really my thing but it’s okay for what it is.
Lame ass, noisy, dissonant, punky rock. In the midst of that are the weird heroin-den-esque soundtracks. I hate both sounds. To their credit this sounds pretty novel for 1969 and it sounds pretty influential - it just unfluenced a sounds I don’t like at all.
Blues. Unremarkable. Only semi-highlight is Riders of the Storm
Forgettable
Great album with some iconic tracks. Reggae is just not my thing tho…
Hell yeah
It’s a little weird but it’s chill
