Otis Blue/Otis Redding Sings Soul
Otis ReddingA great soul album from one of the legends of the genre. Aretha Franklin's version of "Respect" blows the original out of the water though.

I mean it's Jimi Hendrix. So many iconic songs here, an amazing debut album.
I don’t really like reggae, but this was pretty good. Fav: Concrete Jungle
I really enjoyed this one, good vibes. Favs: The Suburbs, Ready to Start
Not too crazy about this one. 7/10 Fav: Stairway to Heaven
This is pretty great, never thought I’d like The White Stripes but here I am. Favs: My Doorbell, Forever For Her (Is Over For Me), The Denial Twist
It’s good, but I prefer Mezzanine. Fav: Unfinished Sympathy
Easy 5/5 Favs: New Dawn Fades, Shadowplay, Wilderness
I couldn’t care less about Christmas music. Fav: Sleigh Ride
Not too crazy about this one. Maybe I’ll enjoy Metal Box more. Fav: Public Image
Way ahead of its time, what a fun album. I love the xylophone on „Gone Daddy Gone” and Brian Ritchie’s acoustic bass. Favs: Blister In The Sun, Add It Up, To The Kill, Gone Daddy Gone
Interesting, although I prefer my punk non-bluesy. Elvis impressions were pretty fun. Side note - what a terrible album cover. Favs: Wail, 2Kindsa Love
Pretty decent thrash album. Great riffs! Favs: Among The Living, Caught In A Mosh
Dad rock.
First 6 tracks are good, the last 4 not so much. So 6/10. Favs: Girls Just Want To Have Fun, Time After Time
Very emotional, great debut album. Favs: Oh My Lover, O Stella, Dress, Sheela-na-gig, Plants and Rags
Probably won't revisit, but it was an enjoyable listen. Favs: Cherry-coloured Funk, Fotzepolitic, Frou-frou Foxes in Midsummer Fires
Pretty fun, shame it’s not on Spotify.
Great jazz, terrible rapping.
Probably one of the easiest 5's for me. RIP ODB.
Amazing drumming, but I find the lead singer's voice grating, especially considering that this is an hour-long album.
Top 3 Bowie for me.
Well, I wasn't even born yet when this album came out so no nostalgia. Feels really dated, rap-metal is painfully cringey, especially with these emo lyrics.
I like it. Good background music to listen to while working or just chilling.
The falsetto. Just no.
Another rap-rock album, another 1-star. Just not enjoyable for me at all. Can't wait to get Limp Bizkit and add another 1 to my collection.
It's alright. The music itself is great. Not a fan of the screaming, though I get that it's essential especially considering the subject matter of this album (and every other RATM album tbh).
Lots of bangers, probably a 5 when you're high as fuck. That crab looks like it's having fun, and so did I when listening to this album.
Decent, but wayyy too long.
This is great, I guess I just like Damon Albarn.
The singles are good, the rest of the songs are just mid.
As 80s as it gets. Not the biggest fan of Tina.
Interesting, but I don't see myself revisiting this album in the future.
A mixed bag tbh. I guess that's inevitable on a 28-track album.

Stevie is the goat
Really fun album, I like the fusion of punk and reggae.
Very enjoyable and energetic, Muddy Waters is a legend.
3.5
Just not interesting to me, felt a lot longer than it actually is.
Really wanted to enjoy this album more, but it's just too unmemorable.
Just no. I despise anything country-related.
What a snooze
Pretty fun
Solid, I guess jazz just isn't for me.
Bonus point for Anderson .Paak
Unmatched energy, really makes you feel like you're in the audience. Incredible live album.
Catchy and enjoyable, despite its length.
Kinda similar to Bowie, i liked it. "In Every Dream Home A Heartache" is definitely the highlight for me.
Pretty forgettable
Didn't really capture my attention, and the fact that it's almost an hour long certainly does not help.
A great soul album from one of the legends of the genre. Aretha Franklin's version of "Respect" blows the original out of the water though.
Sinatra's usual crooning but mixed with bossa nova. Not particularly interesting to me.
Jaco Pastorius' bass is obviously fantastic, but the album itself is pretty hit and miss, especially "A Remark You Made" and "Rumba Mama".
I mean it's Jimi Hendrix. So many iconic songs here, an amazing debut album.
Not bad but not really interesting either.
Too bad he doesn't care about anything other than seeking attention nowadays. "Name one genius that ain't crazy" I guess.
Well, all this ramblin' has its charm. The fact that the song about a boll weevil is immediately followed by a song about bedbugs is just spectacular.
I get that they're influential, but I just can't stand the screaming. The samples and beats are great though, would probably give it a 4 if it was an instrumental album.
Solid grunge, a bit forgettable though.
Did not find it interesting, but at least it's short.
Very fun!
It’s okay I guess, just a bunch of catchy, non-offensive tracks.
Boring. Coldplay comparisons are pretty accurate.
