Blur
BlurYou can see how the band members really grew when they started the Gorillaz. Less developed sound here, pretty average album.

I didn't want to expose myself as a jazz listener so early... please dont let this change your opinion of me… but I liked this a good bit. Would've been a 4, but subtracted points for the boring bassist, the fact that a 15 minute drum solo is excessive, and the fact that I saw Ginger Baker live once and he was kind of a jerk.
Solid, well rounded album.
I found her voice to be grating when she was singing in the higher register, so this album difficult to get through.
I don’t have much to say about the album or oasis in general. Probably wouldn’t listen again. Anyway, here’s wonderwall…
Never been a huge fan of super barebones production like this. Timothee Chalamet… I mean Bob Dylan… is clearly a talented guitarist though!
Loved the album concept and cohesiveness! Bits of jazz, classical, and R&B made it really interesting.
I thought he had a unique voice, but the music was so repetitive and uninspired that i couldn’t take it seriously. Songs can have more than four lyrics, Bill!
great flow, and i know wu-tang was instrumental to the genre. But i’ve never been a fan of the repetitive and simple backing tracks in hip hop
it wasn’t my favorite temptations album. No huge complaints though.
One or two familiar and fun songs, but the rest felt like it blended together
I had fun with this album! After a while the song started blending together because I don’t speak any Spanish, but I enjoyed the trombone section and the scat sections
I couldn’t even get through this album.
They went all out with the first song and then didn’t have anywhere else to go with the remaining ones. I still had a lot of fun listening though
it reminded me of death cab for cutie but was a little pitchier. A lot of it blended together but I could see myself liking this album when i was younger
Stereo sound is frustrating bc I rarely use both earbuds. But I love Queen and their theatrical-ness.
Kinda boring. Nothing offensively bad about it though.
I had fun with this one!
i liked everything about this album except the vocals, which made it a bit of a tough listen. Way too over the top.
Pretty good, no complaints
Yet another album I feel like I’d really like if they had literally any other vocalist. I turned it off on “My New House”. But the backing tracks are great.
I didn’t realize how many of these I knew! Fun listen.
On first listen, I really liked the first 4 songs or so and then the rest all blended together. I gave it one more chance and its grown on me — and I would probably like it more if I was in an angstier mood.
First song was iconic. The rest were good, but the last song annoyed me so much I had to dock the score.
it kinda felt like the soundtrack to the tutorial stage of a video game: repetitive, no melody, and something you’re not supposed to listen to for more than 5 minutes. But it wasn’t offensive or grating, so i wasn’t in pain listening to this album like some of the others.
Never heard of this band. There were a few fun guitar riffs but I didn’t feel like anything stood out, so I’ll probably forget who this band was by next week.
I knew quite a few of these songs, but I genuinely didn’t even know the name of this band! My mom must have listened to this album while I was growing up. As a result it’s quite nostalgic for me.
Funnily enough, I have one song saved by Scott Walker so I thought I’d like this album. Unfortunately I couldn’t really take his voice seriously here, and it was tough to get through
I’m sure it was very influential in its genre. Not really my kind of music.
