Would be great for working out. Probably not a casual listener for me, but it’s a great album in technical/musical terms, love the anti-war and government sentiment as well

More variety in the album then the three songs I know so well

Full of energy and dissidence, some felt too 90’s to really enjoy, but some of it really holds up

Saying Aretha is incredible is like saying water is wet, but my first time through a full album of hers and I’m damn near speechless

Listened to this album more than 40/50 times growing up, unmatched for its time and its purpose

Lovely music, but as good as the melodies are and as beautiful/poetic as the writing is, it kinda gets trapped in one lane, needs more ingredients or energies to feel more complete as a work of art. Fantastic, nonetheless
