I know they came before and probably influenced Duritz, but the smack in the face jolt I got from picturing Counting Crows was wild. Hard to separate the two. It’s that uncanny

Love this album. The classic first Sabbath that scared as many as it thrilled. The album that launched a million bands and provided the blueprint for all heavy metal-dom. RIP Ozzy.

The original rock opera

Janis Joplin was a phenomenal talent and her voice carries almost all these songs but the sound of the album itself is a side of 60s music, I rarely listen to. It’s a nice detour.

I like this album, but I love Blue.

Is this the perfect example of country for people who think they don’t like country? Her voice and these stories and lyrics are amazing. Not the pop stuff. Amazing.

Björk is amazing. Late era/late stage Björk is a revelation.

Loved this record. Teenage Fanclub are criminally underrated. Catholic Education is really good too. Bandwagonesque is a little more B.O.C. for the alternative set with Matthew Sweet’s pop sensibility (and producer?) and therefore more accessible. The Concept is a staple of indie/alt radio (RIP CD101), but the album rocks end to end.

Poses is the superior album, of course, but Want One and Want Two together are awesome additions to the Rufus discography.

Still the most punk rock album of all hip hop 🤜🏼
