Black Sabbath
2/5
Vocals are too quiet, compared to the guitar. The album has a fairly consistent sound. Would have liked more and louder vocals. I would only bother with this again if I wanted to listen to some electric guitar. Changes is a notable outlier, in that the vocals stand front and centre.
The Pogues
3/5
High energy songs that have interesting instrumentals and singing. Fairy tale of new york is a great change of pace compared to the rest of the album, in that it is a duet with a female singer. The "The Dubliners" feature also helps break the album up, I would have liked a lot more features.
George Harrison
2/5
Great as background music, not much else. This is thanks to its excessive length and consisting of often mellow sounding songs. It looks to be about death and relationships. I like Art Of Dying for its high energy and decent lyrics.
The Police
3/5
The second half is way better than the first half. Mother is also a vocal(and instrumental) outlier, as if they ripped it from another album. It has music videos that add nothing to the experience.
It seems to be largely about connections, but they managed to make themselves sound like stalkers. Radiohead's creep is self aware, every breath you take isn't.
Kraftwerk
4/5
Got me moving like a machine, listen to the german version!
3/5
Nothing special, my score would be higher or lower if I had nostalgia or minded the praise. Wonderwall is a stylistic outlier in this album.
I hope he doesn't mind me winking asleep.
Interesting voice paired with decent instrumentals. This truly feels like a perfectly average album, but that's all you need...
Jorge Ben Jor
3/5
Energetic music in a language that I can barely understand. Quite problematic for me since I seperate songs using lyrics, also doesn't help that the songs sound similar to me. The songs do sound good enough for me though.
The Band
3/5
Hello partner, I am here on orders from Big Pink. They told me I would find you here, amongst the rubble .
The Beau Brummels
2/5
Bland, has its moments. The lyrics seem to be fantasy themed, but they lack depth.
Black Flag
2/5
Primitive punk, sounds like a debut album. I find their voices hoarse, rather than agressive. The most redeemable part of this album are the lyrics. I do also like the instrumentals a fair amount.
Oasis
3/5
Perfectly serviceable, nothing crazy.
Nas
3/5
Anyone can recognise immaculate flow and beat. There are some lyrics that anyone would be able to understand. Still I most definitively am not the target audience.
Tracy Chapman
2/5
Middle of the road, like a fast car. I find "behind the wall" boring.
Culture Club
2/5
They tend to repeat the same lyric way too much. This is amplified by the fact that they repeat the same one liner back to back ad nauseam.
The sound is inoffensive, so boredom is the most I get.
The videos do add a little to the experience, mainly the first two.
Coldplay
4/5
Pleasant to listen to, thanks to the calm singing cutting through the relatively energetic instrumentals. The songs carry some meaning, despite the light amount of lyrics.
The second and third videos add to their songs. Being roughly about inevitable death and irreversible time respectively.
Miles Davis

This is what people think of when they think "jazz".

I must be missing something...
The video adds nothing.
MC Solaar
2/5
Exactly what you expect from someone called mc solaar.
This requires too much effort for me. I find rap already mentally taxing, let alone in a language where I have to carefully listen to understand it. It also doesn't help that certain lyrics have either no meaning/ are metaphorical.
R.E.M.
3/5
Great lyrics on a decent album
Daft Punk
3/5
Too long for how little material they have. This selection was made because it was their first, not their best.
The Fresh video completely changes the track.
ZZ Top
2/5
Nothing notable
Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band

Lacks emotions and makes me sleepy.
Carole King
3/5
Nicely sung, but not for me.
Baaba Maal
3/5
The translated lyrics seem like rather generic poetry. It also has a diverse sound.
Klaxons
2/5
Rythmic energy, blends together. I don't quite get the lyrics.
Antony and the Johnsons
2/5
Albums relies on vibrato. Gets better towards the end
The Police
3/5
Starts of strong
X-Ray Spex
3/5
Nicely played, the only thing I didn't enjoy were the vocals.
Mylo
2/5
The biggest flaw is the name. The second is that it overestimates how long it should run for.
This genuinely feels like material a dj would prepare before they start to mix it up on stage, it feels unfinished.
Creedence Clearwater Revival
3/5
Background, can't imagine ever playing this with the intent to listen to the songs.
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
2/5
I don't like these slow "love" songs
Radiohead
3/5
A decent album with some industrial touches.
Joni Mitchell
2/5
It lacks and feels outdated
Alanis Morissette
4/5
Great voice, she would benefit from having some dedicated bandmembers. Mainly to diversify the instrumentals.

They could not be bothered with actually trying.
Kelela
3/5
Slightly too long; sometimes atmospheric, sometimes intense; clean vocals that are elevated by autotune; it is almost experimental.
I gave it 3 listens and I think it is alright—or at the very least not a waste of time.
