The Number Of The Beast by Iron Maiden

I love Maiden…..but in very small doses. i.e. two songs max at a time. “Run to…. “ and “Number” are classic galloping, pantomime horror Maiden. The other tracks? No thanks.

Pink Moon by Nick Drake
Sep 18 2025

I came to Nick Drake quite late through the radio 2 documentary in 2004, and have been a fan ever since. Not my favourite Drake album, but they’re all great so it’s still fantastic.

Off The Wall by Michael Jackson
Sep 19 2025

Love this album, constantly on in our house growing up courtesy of two older brothers. Off the wall and I can’t help it are my two favourite tracks. Also joint (Thriller) winner of the best album co-written by a bloke from Clerthorpes. 🤣

A Girl Called Dusty by Dusty Springfield
Sep 20 2025

I had heard one track from this before but didn’t know the album. Glad I do know it now though. Wow, so good. ❤️

Home Is Where The Music Is by Hugh Masekela
Sep 21 2025

I quite like jazz but couldn’t name more than a couple of albums that I’d say were favourites. This though is definitely now on my list. Funk, blues, even a jazz drum solo track that doesn’t outstay its welcome. Love it

Immigrés by Youssou N'Dour
Sep 22 2025

Would it be awful to say it’s quite pleasant? However, not anything I’d listen to again.

She's So Unusual by Cyndi Lauper
Sep 23 2025

Apart from the 2 classic singles not really feeling this at all.

Shalimar by Rahul Dev Burman
Sep 24 2025

Quite enjoyed listening to this. Even went to check out the film, which wasn’t as crazy as I thought it would be.

Beggars Banquet by The Rolling Stones
Sep 25 2025

Great album. “Sympathy…” and “Street fighting man” are two of my favourite Stones tracks. I think it was a real throwback to their blues roots which I love.

Band On The Run by Paul McCartney and Wings
Sep 26 2025

Enjoyed listening to it again, been quite a while since I’d listened to it as a whole. Jet on of my favourite Macca solo songs. Also one of my favourite album covers when I was a kid. I would stare at it for hours, it seemed so crazy all these famous people together. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤣

The Idiot by Iggy Pop
Sep 29 2025

Love this era of music, and loved listening to this album. Fantastic stuff.

Superunknown by Soundgarden
Sep 30 2025

Was never a fan of Soundgarden. I’m still not.

Hms Fable by Shack
Oct 01 2025

Hadn’t heard of this but quite enjoyed it.

Cosmo's Factory by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Oct 04 2025

What a stonker of an album! Rock and roll at its finest. 🤘🏻

Appetite For Destruction by Guns N' Roses
Oct 09 2025

Early Guns N Roses were great. All downhill after this one though. Great album

Endtroducing..... by DJ Shadow
Oct 11 2025

Still sounds great and could easily have been released this year and wouldn’t sound dated. Brilliant album

Oct 13 2025

Haven’t listened to early Tom Waits before and this was an absolute joy of a record. So so good.

Red Headed Stranger by Willie Nelson
Oct 14 2025

Quite a nice listen. To me a bit samey but what do I know. Good though.

Grievous Angel by Gram Parsons
Oct 17 2025

It was ok but wouldn’t go back to it.

Sound of Silver by LCD Soundsystem
Oct 18 2025

A belter of an album. 🔥

Bossanova by Pixies
Oct 20 2025

Wasn’t much of a fan of the Pixes when they first came out, and still not apart from the odd song.

Meat Is Murder by The Smiths
Oct 21 2025

For me the last great Smith’s album. The beginning of the end.

Five Leaves Left by Nick Drake
Oct 25 2025

Sublime. A truly great piece of work.

Dance Mania by Tito Puente
Oct 26 2025

It was ok. Not an album I would listen to in full usually.

Trafalgar by Bee Gees
Nov 12 2025

Really enjoyed this one. Also didn’t realise “How can you…” was one of theirs. Nice
