Love the album since the first year of uni. Listened again today but was ruined by Microsoft dynamics being shit

never got the clash. better punk out there

Is this just early Radiohead with verses and choruses? Yes. Have Coldplay been living off the goodwill from this album for the past 25 years? Yes.

Whack this on a nice soundsystem in the lounge in the background, you'll have a nice time with it. Though the entire thing feels painfully predictable. The do almost everything right, but nothing magic.

It's a fun pop album with some good songs. Yet it is two unfocused and you could really tighten this album by cutting a fair amount of songs. Really could probably closer to a 3 1/2 tbh

If My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is 5, this is 4

I dont come back to this album often but when I do, I dont understand why I didn’t come back sooner. Tbh I blame stranger things for playing running up the hill to death. I forgot how incredible to rest of the album is. Still haven't watched stranger things.

Basically an editors album

On a technical level, this album should be a 5. Great production, tight tracklist. But it doesn't have the personal x factor, to give it a 5 for me. Disclosure, I still haven't watched finding neverland

Am I confused? Yes. Am I very charmed? Yes. Reminds of squeeze/pub rock. But less crass, more funk and better musicianship

1980s synth pop can be very hit and miss, they got it right here. Lovely sounding album, very atmospheric

I think 40 years of hip hop developing after this album being released hasn't done it any favours.

Feel like you need to give this more time, otherwise it sounds like phone hold music

Its a shame rest of her discography couldnt be like this

If this was a band on at the green door, I would go to the smoking area
