Kimono My House by Sparks
Nov 04 2025

1. First song of the album gives the very mood of the album. The instrumentals are so good I can't really describe it. Vocals are on point and sets the feeling of the song. I feel intrigued to continue listening the album. Good start for album. 8/10 2. I really like the instrumentals in this album. Energetic and feeling of rise 7/10 3. Great starting with drums, kinda wakes you up after amateur hour. The name of the song speaks for itself, feels romantic in some strange way I can't really describe. I love the bass))) 7/10 4. I totally love the energy of this song. The vocal here stands out in a very good way. Guitar work here blends well with good vocals. 9/10 5. Feels like an old-fashioned song in a good way, I don't particularly dislike, but feels different like this song stands out from others as it sounds very odd, has a strange energy. 6/10 6. Good hit with guitar. Now it feels like we returned back into energy. The good thing about this song is instrumentals, band works very good with instruments. 7/10 7. I like the rhythm of this one, feel great, makes me want to step with foot on rhythm. 8/10 8. Feels like it took rhythm of previous one and spinned it around, I don't how else to describe it. 7/10 9. Somehow doesn't spark any emotion in me, I dunno, I don't like this one. 5/10 10. Good vocal work, solid song here. 6/10 11. This feels like "Equator" but with different energy of kind. Still solid song. 6/10 12. Last song here. Good ending for the album, really contrast first songs, it remains energy of the song while finalizing the feeling of it. 8/10 Overall 8.4/10. Good album, liked it. Not the best I listened, not the genre I like but I appreciate how good it is written

Lady Soul by Aretha Franklin

1. That's some jazz like music, not very fond of these kinds of songs. Strong vocal here, can feel how talented the singer is. Chain Chain Chain Chain. 6/10 2. Continues the energy of the previous song, gives the same vibe, less intense though. Can easily see this as radio hit of 70s or 80s. 5/10 3. Wow, pacing here is much slower, I like that. It's like I am alone face to face with vocals, slower and quieter instruments really complements here. 6/10 4. Mysterious vibe, like it's opening for some detective story or something. Interesting. 5/10 5. Slow pacing as a third song and even better balance here. You make me feel like natural woman 7/10 6. Quick pace change, I like bass and drums here, works really well. 6/10 7. So calm. Like this song makes you relax a bit after all. 6/10 8. A fun mood here, like dancing mood. Somewhat reminds me of old dancing club vibe. 7/10 9. It's like time to have a break after dancing for previous song, like pary ended, let's have a talk with friends. 6/10 10. A good ending song here, feels like end of the journey and some goodbye song. No, not goodbye, but see you again song. 6/10 It was kinda a mistake to say jazz here, it's not at all. Still kinda biased against these kind of songs. Overall, album remains good through beginning till end. 6/10

Such good vibe on snowing day at my small room alone in the morning. Makes my mood to lift and want to continue today. Really like guitar in this album, maybe 'cause it's closer genre to me and overall songs are in my taste. "Finest worksong", the first song in the album, was a great start and I liked it to a good degree as I added it to spotify liked playlist. Did like "It's the end of the world as we know it" too, hits right there. The album was great at start and mid, but kinda starts to fall in the end. Not to offend, just not as good as at the beginning, still decent songs. Overall, I rate this album pretty high, 8.3/10
