Disintegration by The Cure
Dec 09 2025

This record is a 10 out of 10, no skip, perfect record in my opinion. Loved it when I was 15. Love it just as much now. You do kind of have to be in the right mood, but if you let yourself go there, listening to this album all the way through is a magical experience.

Odessey And Oracle by The Zombies
Dec 10 2025

I recognized most of the songs, but never knew the band name. This was a fun listen. Tunes fun and catchy, similar in sound to the beatles, but with interesting, less poppy lyrics that make me feel like these guys were more accessible to alt types. Cool record. I went and listened to their first album after this. And then checked out Rod Argent. Quite a few original classics came from this band and other bands that spawned here.

In Utero by Nirvana
Dec 11 2025

Not really the kind of thing I like. Some of the screaming was fun, and some interesting lyrics, but musically it didn't grab me.

Hot Buttered Soul by Isaac Hayes
Dec 12 2025

Nice easy listening for a while. Good background music. Nice and funky but not too crazy. Then the song started where he was talking, and I did not care for that so much. The song is long enough that it goes through phases, and is nice in some parts. But the talking really interrupted my took me out of it for a while.

Dec 16 2025

Love this record. It's slow and meandering here and there, but so pretty. Another one that you kind of have to be in the right mood for. Stunning vocals from Clare Torry. 🤩

Chelsea Girl by Nico
Dec 17 2025

Ugh I can't stand her voice.

Grievous Angel by Gram Parsons
Dec 18 2025

Greatest thing was Emmylou Harris. I liked the live medley song.

Blonde On Blonde by Bob Dylan
Dec 22 2025

Liked it ok. Rainy Day Women was one of my faves as a kid, and it's still good. The rest was OK. Some great lyrics in there. Just not something I would enjoy on a regular basis.

Cosmo's Factory by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Dec 24 2025

Listened to this maybe a bit too much when I was a kid, that I'm kind of over it. Some great songs. Definitely a great record.

Moving Pictures by Rush
Jan 07 2026

This is great, a lot of complex music. Not my thing though.

Talking Heads 77 by Talking Heads
Jan 08 2026

I love this band so much, but this record is not their best. A couple of really great songs, but the rest is kind of boring/ so-so.

1999 by Prince
Jan 09 2026

Nice one

The Cars by The Cars
Jan 15 2026

Fun, familiar songs. I can see why the ones that aren't familiar didn't make it to the radio. But I kind of like the weirdness.

It's Blitz! by Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Jan 16 2026

Fun listen! I didn't keep up with them after Fever To Tell, but I guess I should have.

Lady Soul by Aretha Franklin
Jan 19 2026

Loved it.

The Gershwin Songbook by Ella Fitzgerald
Feb 05 2026

Beautiful. Reminds me so much of my dad singing a lot of these songs. I only made it through disk 3 but I would come back to hear more.

Rust Never Sleeps by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Feb 09 2026

I've never been a fan of his voice. It almost physically hurts my ears. Its hard to enjoy/listen the music because of that. But the songs seem ok.

Licensed To Ill by Beastie Boys
Feb 10 2026

Very fun. Not their best work, but iconic.

Behaviour by Pet Shop Boys
Feb 12 2026

Enjoyed but there weren't any stand-out songs that grabbed me. Like to hear these guys voices though.

The Queen Is Dead by The Smiths
Feb 17 2026

Pretty good. His voice didn't bother me as much as I thought it would.

Copper Blue by Sugar
Feb 18 2026

Forgot this existed!

Iron Maiden by Iron Maiden
Feb 19 2026

I've never listened to this band on purpose before. I liked it.

The Dreaming by Kate Bush
Feb 20 2026

I liked this a lot. I really like when she gets weird.

Feb 23 2026

This was pretty good. I don't usually like live albums, but I think the fact that it's "unplugged" instead of like an arena setting makes it much more palatable. Plus some of the songs are iconic performances.

Play by Moby
Feb 24 2026

An old standard. Very good.

Like A Prayer by Madonna
Feb 25 2026

Always assumed I had heard this whole album, but no. The hits were fun. The rest. Meh.

Kid A by Radiohead
Mar 02 2026

So good. I liked this when it first came out, but over the years these songs have become ingrained into my being.

Time Out by The Dave Brubeck Quartet
Mar 03 2026

Love it

GREY Area by Little Simz
Mar 04 2026
