Definitely the sound I think of when I think Bowie. Has a lot of the sounds that I associate with the late 70s, early 80s. Pretty short album with only six songs, but each song is a bit longer bringing the album to a 38 minute run time. Nice break up of genre for me, most of my music these days is pretty heavy drums, rock, metaly music. Disco and funk were the words I was looking for, those are the genres that influenced a lot of this album. Apparently he does not remember making the album but it did happen to be his highest charting album and was a big influence for a lot of other artists. He discusses wanting to get out of the bright light that is fame while actively being in it.

Awesome album. I've listened to a lot of this album prior to getting it on here and it has some of my favorite songs from Radiohead. This album, like "Station to Station" from Bowie also deals with fame and what happens to artists after they get their big break. This was released following the massive success of Creep, a song that they grew to hate. For the longest time I've had "My Iron Lung" and "Fake Plastic Trees" on my playlist so it was cool to hear the rest of the album that they came from. Definitely a pretty angry and angsty album with a lot of lyrics that are super depressing. The songs that stuck out the most to me were "Bones" and "Just," both are being added to my playlist.

Well i didn’t get bored listening to it, so that bodes well for its rating. I looked into the story behind the band and album. Bad Company was a so called “supergroup,” though some posit that the label was given prematurely. Anyways the group formed out of artists who already had semi-successful solo career; however, Bad Company is the reason they are known today. The genre for the album falls into hard rock and blues rock. You definitely hear some of the blues and jazz elements in the instrumentals with a very classic rock feeling from the singing and lyrics. Very chill and almost sensual vibe to a lot of the songs. Lots of discussion of sex but also some about violence. Not the exact thing i reach for while working out, so me listening to it at th gym may have downgraded the rating.

pretty good. listened to while reorganizing my room and was good background music. the guitar/base stood out the most and i really enjoyed it.
music genre and style is all over the place, but on purpose. they use salsa, latin drums, long beach music, doo wop, r&b, jazz and whatever other music style you can think of. this was done in theme with the album “the world is a ghetto” not as much a political statement but more statement of unity. meant to say that we all have struggles, even rich people get clogged toilets (something the drummer said). overall i liked it, very different from my normal music but it was a nice background to my morning.

meh. not my vibe. I tried listening to it but I just was not feeling it today. May revisit another day, but I only made it about half way through today. I was just feeling a little overwhelmed by noises and not loving it.

Live album. I really enjoyed it actually. I wasn't expecting to like this album as much as I did but it has some really solid guitar and is a fun listen.

Favorite track: Do you feel like I do (it's 13 min long but I really enjoyed the guitar solos)
A lot of British bands and British artists recently and a lot of music from the 70s. I don't know if the 70s were really my era musically. I feel like a lot of the music that I have heard from then is more upbeat and energetic than the music I prefer to listen to. I'm not saying I don't like it, I think it's a nice mix-up from what I normally listen to, but it's just not music I will likely reach for again. They are known as a "ska-revival" band, which is a blend of Jamaican ska, rocksteady, reggae, and punk influence. Overall, seems like an important album is music history as it blended black and white music, but it's just not my favorite.

i really liked this album. it’s a really good garage, psychedelic rock album. perfect chill music. pretty long album in terms of number of tracks, but some of them are only like 30 sec long. overall enjoyed a lot and was much needed familiarity after getting a series of albums that aren’t my typical sound
