Rust Never Sleeps by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Dec 12 2025

3/5 + I like the structure and composition of the album + Great guitar tone + Really dig the live vibe + Im a sucker for harmonica solos - Sometimes Young's voice just doesnt click with me - Not really packed with highlights Fav: My, My, Hey, Hey (Out of The Blue), Powderfinger Least Fav: Sedan Delivery, Sail Away

Ellington at Newport by Duke Ellington
Dec 13 2025

2.5/5 My first ever full jazz album listening session. + Great atmosphere, love hearing the crowd roar as much as they do + The level of craftmanship is amazing + Really kinetic music in the faster tracks, makes me wanna dance and clap + Skin Deep Drum Solo - I really wish I was there, I feel like missing out a lot just listening to this - The bluesy downtime songs bored me (really not my type of music) - after listening once, I think I am full, I had enough, thank you Fav: Diminuendo and Crescendo in Blue, Skin Deep, Festival Junction Least Fav: Blues to be there, Sophisticated Lady, Got it Bad (And That Aint Good)

Dec 14 2025

3/5 + About as groovy as it's silly, really fun energy + I Like the way they use vocals chops + A lot of interesting ways how they use their rap and singing voices - Sometimes a little too edgy, also some really outdated humor - feels a little... irrelevant? - gets repetitive fast Fav: Officer, Oh Shit, I'm the Type of N***a, Quintons on the way (Skit), Pack the Pipe Least Fav: Otha Fish, Most of the skits and interludes, 4 Better 4 Worse

Pretzel Logic by Steely Dan
Dec 15 2025

3.5/5 + Funky grooves, nice jazzy dad rock instrumentation, very attention grabbing + Great voice and vocal production + really easy to get into... - ... but sometimes it sounds needlessly complex, technical and unfocused - not really a satisfying album experience, but great stuff for some of my playlists - very basic album artwork Fav: Barrytown, With A Gun, Rikki Don't Lose That Number, Pretzel Logic Least Fav: Night by Night

good kid, m.A.A.d city by Kendrick Lamar
Dec 16 2025

4/5 Fav: Swimming Pools (Drank), Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe, Backseat Freestyle Least fav: Poetic Justice

Stand! by Sly & The Family Stone
Dec 17 2025

3/5 + powerful performances, feels very alive and all Instruments sound great + No filler, great highlights - boring artwork - the old songwriting conventions makes this feel mucher longer - while i can appreciate tracks like Sex Machine from a craftmanship perspective, it's nothing i want to listen to again Fav: Stand!, Everyday People, Sing A Simple Song Least Fav: Sex Machine

Dec 18 2025

4.5/5 + I've listened to The Rockafella Skank what feels like a thousand times in my lifetime, it still slaps + I always wanted to listen to this album and never took the time, so thank you 1001G + Love the artwork + so much energy + the highs are so high (and Praise You is basically just a collection of highs) + I had a great time - it's very repetitive, when it works, it's hypnotic and very kinetic, when it doesn't work it gets extremely annoying - some songs are a lot longer than they need to be Fav: Praise You, The Rockafella Skank, Gangster Trippin, Soul Surfing Least Fav: Fucking in Heaven

Entertainment by Gang Of Four
Dec 19 2025

4/5 + How is this almost 50 years old? It still sounds fresh + Cool artwork + Really interesting punk bass + Love the lyrics +- Ether as an album opener is a bold choice - wasn't easy to really get into, but it did click with me eventually Fav: Damaged Goods, At Home He's A Tourist, Love Like Anthrax, Least Fav: Not Great Man

Wild Is The Wind by Nina Simone
Dec 20 2025

4/5 + Great vocal performances and a really interesting and unique voice + Four Women will haunt me forever + Raw and emotional journey - normally I would have never listened to this, really not my type of music, but it is probably the best version of it Fav: Four Women, I Love Your Lovin' Ways, Break Down and Let it all Out Least Fav: Wild is the Wind

Suede by Suede
Dec 21 2025

4/5 Fav: Animal Nitrate, So Young, The Drowners, The Next Life Least Fav: Sleeping Pills

Floodland by Sisters Of Mercy
Dec 22 2025

4.5/5 + wow what an opener, really hyped for the rest of the album + great synthlines, really feels proto-darksynth + it is really cheesy in a fun way + i like the variety of atmospheric, catchy and epic Songs + Monster 80s Drums - the Cover feels iconic but damn it is ugly Fav: Dominion / Mother Russia, The Corrosion, Lucretia My Reflection Least Fav: 1959

Dec 23 2025

1/5 Look, I expected to like this a lot, given it's almost mythical status. After listening, I was confused, bored and tired. I guess it is not for me, huh. Fav: Straight Outta Compton Least Fav: Parental Discretion Iz Advised, Gangsta Gangsta, If It Ain't Ruff, Compton's in the House - Remix, I Aint' Tha 1, Dopeman - Remix

Blood On The Tracks by Bob Dylan
Dec 24 2025

3/5 + Bob Dylan - Bob Dylan Fav: Tangled Up in the Blue, Idiot Wind Least Fav: -

Dec 27 2025

4,5 / 5 + Strong Highlights really tie the album together, feels like a full album experience + it's powerful, beautiful, sensitive, full of Heart and Soul and really uplifting + It becomes way more than the sum of its parts - it can get really cheesy, lyrically, compositional and from production - the feature tracks feel the weakest to me Fav: Lost Ones, Ex-Factor, Superstar, Doo Wop (That Thing), Forgive Them Father, Least Fav: Nothing Even Matters

Ray Of Light by Madonna
Dec 28 2025

1,5/5 + I was surprised how experimental this album is + the opener really sets a good tone for the album + The happy hardcore influenced tracks were fun + Sometimes I really liked the maximalism in the production... - ... but a lot of times it's just a mess - Skin makes my skin crawl - really don't like Madonnas vocal performances on the whole thing - it's more fun to talk about the album than to listen to it (it's also way too long) - ultimately it is a failed experiment for me Fav: Drowned World / Substitute of Love, Ray of Light Least Fav: Skin, Shanti / Ashtangi, The Power of Good-Bye, To Have and Not to Hold

Songs The Lord Taught Us by The Cramps
Dec 31 2025

5/5 + Campy, ridiculous, sweaty, sleazy, fun, cool and very danceable rockabilly punk with B-horror aesthetics, love it + Side A is pretty much perfect + Great guitar tone, so much character - also i enjoy the over the top vocals - Side B can't completely hold up, doesn't feel finished, like fragments of a great album, but still... damn Fav: I Was A Teenage Werewolf, Rock on the Moon, The Mad Daddy, Strychnine, Tear It Up, Garbageman, Least Fav: -

...And Justice For All by Metallica
Jan 03 2026

4/5 + Every Song has like 20 great riffs + I Love the Metallica sound - to quote Kirk Hammett: "the songs were too fucking long" Fav: The Shortest Straw, Eye of the Beholder, One, Harvester of Sorrow Least Fav: ... And Justice For All

S.F. Sorrow by The Pretty Things
Jan 04 2026

4/5 + I am a sucker for rock operas and psychadelic rock, so sonically i felt right at home + It can get really experimental, noisy and rhythmically complex, but still maintains a very easy listening experience + Really high highs... - ... and pretty low lows - im listening with headphones and i really hated the overabundance of stereo effects, sometimes it was very cool but a lot of times i was just annoyed - the songs constantly change drastically, which enhances the album experience, but i wish i could have some parts of some songs for a playlist Fav: S.F. Sorrow Is Born, Balloon Burning, Death, Baron Saturday, Trust, Loneliest Person Least Fav: Private Sorrow, Well of Destiny

The Poet by Bobby Womack
Jan 05 2026

3,5/5 + A very easy listening experience + As not an expert on the genre and its conventions, it feels a little generic and samey + Overall very enjoyable Fav: If you Think You're Lonely Now, Secrets Least Fav: -

My Generation by The Who
Jan 06 2026

3/5 + I love the crunchy drum sound and the deep guitar tone + It really has its moments, I especially enjoy the heavier tracks - so because I only know this album from the context of listening to it in 2026, it sounds just not that special or memorable to me Fav: The Kids Are Alright, My Generation, The Goods Gone, I'm A Man Least Fav: Please Please Please

Jan 09 2026

2,5 / 5 + Second half is really good + strong album opener song, cool outro song + There is no bad song... - but most of it i don't really care for - at first it felt a little generic sounding and didn't feel the Energy many reviews were raving about - first listen i didn't have too much opinion about the whole thing, which normally is bad Fav: Fast Cars, Fiction Romance, Autonomy, I Need Least Fav: -

L.A. Woman by The Doors
Jan 10 2026

4/5 + I love The Doors, but I tend to like their earlier work better + But still, Riders on the Storm is my absolute favorite by them + you feel really cool listening to this - im just not a blues fan

OK by Talvin Singh
Jan 11 2026

2/5 + the indian drum and bass breakbeats are sometimes really crazy + some songs have fantastic moments or passages, like the stuttering voices of Eclipse or the energetic climax of OK - i hate Traveller with a passion - this is not for me, this is not for me, this is just not for me Fav: Butterfly, Mombasstic, Eclipse, OK Least Fav: Traveller, Sulttix

Jan 15 2026

5/5 + Free Bird might be one of the greatest closer to an album all time + flawless track list + nice variety of different flavors of rock genres Fav: Free Bird, Simple Man, Poison Whiskey Least Fav: -

Grace by Jeff Buckley
Jan 16 2026

damn, that man is horny. 3,5/5 + Eternal Life shocked me + Some Songs i really really like - First listen I disliked it until So Real, then it got good - Most of the album i Just don't Care for Fav: So Real, Hallelujah, Lover You Should've Come Over, Eternal Life, Forget Her Least Fav: Corpus Christi Carol, Dreams Brother, Grace, Last Goodbye

Jan 17 2026

4/5 + Rock and roll Bob Dylan is great + Bob Dylan - Bob Dylan Fav: Subterranean Homesick Blues, Mr Tambourine Man, It's Alright Ma

Jan 18 2026

3,5/5 + High Energy, high intensity and overall electrifying performances + Rocket Reducer No. 62 is crazy good + It truly is something special - sometimes it sounds very amateurish, sometimes it doesn't work at all - for a live album, it lacks that atmosphere

Good Old Boys by Randy Newman
Jan 21 2026

2/5 + I like Newman's voice - lyrically offensive, musically pretty tame - i just wasn't very interested, just nothing too memorable to me

Faust IV by Faust
Jan 22 2026

3/5 + I wish there would be more vocals, i really liked them + Great tone of the instrumentals - My attention span is unfortunatly not ready for this Fav: Giggy Smile, The Sad Skinhead Least Fav: Krautrock

Third/Sister Lovers by Big Star
Jan 23 2026

Nature Boy is a great song, other than that, not a memorable rock album. Just nothing too special.

Physical Graffiti by Led Zeppelin
Jan 30 2026

3,5/5 + It's long and it has a consistent style. It became hard for me to tell where a Song ends and a new Song begins, but it did flow + The album has a great amount of energy + The rock sound of Led Zeppelin is iconic and nostalgic to me - i was baffled how hard is for me to Name Songs that i liked from this album, except Kashmir

The Modern Lovers by The Modern Lovers
Feb 01 2026

4/5 + These highly emotional alcoholics sound pretty cool + I cannot believe that this was released in the 70s, truly ahead of its time - sometimes the slurred vocals can get annoying - if only some Songs could be a little shorter it would have been truly great, but often there are just not enough ideas to justify the runtime Fav: She Cracked, Roadrunner, Modern World
