Super influential album, this album by Curtis Mayfield is a must listen soundtrack album. It is one of the only albums made for a movie and actually outsold the movie. Superfly is a near perfect album all assembled very well and has a tight tracklist. Very masterful production a essential listen.
Incredible, a perfect album. Protest album produced beautifully, every track is brilliant and touches on a lot of themes
Very good album, gives a neo vibe and is a super interesting albun

Production was very interesting, not boring at all despite the reviews. This album really feels like it goes on a journey from a happy tone to a much more dramatic and intense second half.

Brilliant album, start to back, it's a tightly packed, cohesive and wonderfully produced record. All tracks sound meaningful and Radiohead really sound super mature here. Stand out tracks: Jigsaw falling into place, Reckoner, 15 Step, Nude, Just all of the songs. In Rainbows contains easily the most accessible music made by the band in the last decade. Not just in sound but subject matter too. Lead single "Jigsaw Falling Into Place" is the perfect example of this. 5/5
John lennon: imagine
Overall great album, innovative, creative, and very fun sounding. Stand out is definitely Imagine and Jealous guy, a very thoughtful album by John Lennon, however some tracks do drag a little. Scoring below:
Imagine: 4.5 Talks about peace, inspiring
Crippled inside: 3.8 Talks about hypocricsy, catchy.
Jealous guy: 4.4 Very vulnerable, Lennon opens up about his relationships and him being possessive
Its so hard: 3.3 This track feels too blue and rock for my liking, doesnt fit in this record
I Dont wanna be: 3 Drags on too long, weird vocals
Gimme some truth: 3.9 protest against governmental dishonesty, good message
Oh my love: 4.1 Great vocals, beautiful gentle love song
How do you sleep: 4.15 Riff is catchy and cool as well as the topic him and the Beatles seperating, great track
How??- 4 Loved the calm vocals, reflective track
Oh Yoko!-3.6 Very joyful seems to be dedicated to someone called Yoko, not for me though
Average: 3.88/5 so a 4/5
Pink Floyd Wish you were here: Very brilliantly produced, consistent all over and never one boring moment
Shine on you crazy diamond(Pt1-5): 5 Incredible production, talking about Syd Barrett an old member, and how losing him a tragedy, very emotional flows into the next song
Welcome to the machine: 4.6 Mechanical sounding on purpose, song is about how music industry controls artists and critiques it. Very trippy
Have a cigar: 4.25 Funky riff, critiquing music execs again, saying how they don't understand the band
Wish you were here: 4.4 Emotional, brilliant
I just don't enjoy acoustic guitar songs as much as prog rock.
Shine on you crazy diamond pts 6-9: 4.7. A continuation of the first track, a farewell. Avg 4.59/5 barely missing a 5/5 == 4.5/5 Since on this app, there are no .5 increments I have to score a 4/5 which doesn't reflect my rating accurately.
The rise and fall of ziggy stardust and spider from mars:
I hope this album doesn't fall off, I'm 4 songs through and this might be one of the greatest albums ever imo. Production is insane. Middle section not as perfect as beginning and ending but still overall an incredible concept album.

No words, incredible. I could go on and on about the meanings of this semi conceptual album and how it displays themes of isolation, alienation, paranoia but I really think the brilliance of this album speaks for itself.
Cee lo green is the soul machine: This record has some nice beats and flows but overall it falls flat in lots of aspects. It's overall boring and doesn't have too much meaning or themes to it. Most songs are just flow and beats. Many filler songs and way too long. 3/5
It's very cool, sounds different from what I usually listen to, lots of the melodys and harmony are pretty interesting as well as the synths and vocals. Songs do sound a bit similar at times but lots of songs are very interesting. I really enjoy the sonic atmosphere and that almost dreamy feel but synthpop wouldn't be something I listen to on the regular. It is a good record, just not for me. 3.5/5 on Rym. 3/5 on 1001.
