Had never really sat down to listen a LZ album before, it was quite an experience, really enjoyed the bass and vocals, but I'm not too fond of Jimmy Paige as a person, really good album tho
Good vocals and really strong lyrics, one of those albums to just vibe to when doing homework or doing some other chore, not MY favorite type of rock that Beatles esque sound, but not bad
This album has some bangers (I'm speaking to you 'Patterns'). At first I wasn't sure I was enjoying myself, I don't tend to listen to this genre of music like every, but as I kept listening it began to grow on me. It implemented the instruments in a magnificent and beautiful way. I will be adding some of the songs to my playlist after this, really glad I got around to listening to this one.
It's one of those albums where you can feel the time it was made in, despite not being overtly political.
Zero hate, but I only cared about Jeremy, not only because of the story behind it, which I already knew, but because it's the one that resonates with me the most. The other songs are good, but they all mesh with other nu-metal ish songs, don't get me wrong, it's not a bad album, it's just not my favorite genre. I know Pearl Jam predated many of those Nu-metal acts, but I feel like those that came after them perfected the style.
TLDR: It's alright
This is a personal list, so I don't feel bad rating it like this, this was a total snooze fest, not a single song really made me feel any emotion that wasn't boredom, it's well produced I guess, but I can't really tell why others would like it a lot.
2/5
I'm falling behind on my albums, but God I am thankful for having listen to this one. What a banger! I had no idea I needed a song about how great black women are, but I am grateful
This is peak. I need to check more of Jethro Tull after this
SO glad I got this one recommended, I've been meaning to listen to Amy Winehouse for a while and this gave me the perfect excuse. She truly has a powerful voice, and "Stronger than me" is one hell of an intro song.
The biblbes....
I'm not new to the Bilis, but GOSH I needed this album. Each song is just such a banger, I knew some of them but I had ignored they came from this album. Lucy in the sky with diamonds will always be peak music imo, but you can say that about all the other songs from this album.
Another thing is that I was listening to this album so chilling, when I got jumpscared by that song by John Lemon about beating his wife.
GUYS DONT MAKE ME LISTEN TO ALICE IN CHAINS -sigh- fine
WHY IS THIS ACTUALLY FIRE THO??? FUCK I SKIP TWO BANDS AND THEN THIS MAKES ME FEEL GUILTY, but Oh gezz now I see why so many people fw this guys as hard as they do, they're actually really good! Head Creeps is a highlight for me esp.
Overall, really solid album by a really solid band, in here you get great vocals, great instrumentals, great production, mixing, the whole thing! I wouldn't really mind listening to AIC's other albums after this; great introduction to the band as a whole
I can't believe how good this album is. + 1 star for the shit flinging at Jimmy Paige.
I love how the album switched genres, I'm not too familiarized with Hip-hop myself, but the albums I've been getting recommended here are making me get curious. Favorite song: Hard to say, I really liked a handful of them, but "Girls" is up there.
First time listening to Motorhead... All I know about 'em comes from that Ministry documentary. This was a really okay album, probably just not my thing... couldn't FULLY get into it, but I have to admit it has some pretty great bangers, LONG LIVE MOTORHEAD. 3 stars and a half
I LIKE THE WAY YOU MOOOVE
NOT OASIS NAHHHH. OKAY FINE I WILL LISTEN TO OASIS.
I don't know but Oasis doesn't feel like a real band to me, not in an industry plant way, more like a movie montage soundtrack kind of way where are all their songs sound like that to me. Before this album I just knew Wonderwall and that one infamous album of theirs. Well, the music video for Hello is kind of fine, I guess. Man, after this I'll just listen to Alice in Chains again to remember what music sounds like. Okay, I might have enjoyed it a little, in a way that is really easy to enjoy Oasis, because they are objectively good. AHAHAHAH HOLY SHIT THIS IS THE ALBUM WHERE WONDERWALL COMES FROM. +1 star for Wonderwall. Okay I might say (pun intended) Some Might Say (and Morning Glory) are also decent tracks. Just finished listening and that final track did NOT do the album any favor, I am quite impressed at how Oasis gets away with making long ass songs about NOTHING.
I can't listen to old 50's music without thinking about SpongeBob. This album is really sweet and fun! I enjoyed every song in it, but especially "Sigh, cry almost die." This album feels like having a milkshake with cotton candy.
This is kind of cheating but I refuse to listen to Jay-Z
