The title track Hotel California is an amazing all time classic. It's iconic guitar solo is one of the best ever, and the overall song is an amazing vibe, that can always be whipped out anywhere from campfires to stadiums. The second song new kid in town, while not as catchy or fast, is still a lyrical masterpiece with great instrumentation. Life in the Fast Lane feels like it reaches a bit closer to the band's country rock roots, with some disco elements to it. The entire album is an essentially perfect rock record, with it's six stringed guitars, powerful vocals, and even a full orchestra in the reprise.
Very good album, with a variety of sounds. The lyrics are thoughtful and the variation in instruments prevents the album from getting boring, including rock, folk, South African, and many others. It is very well put together, and is a solid listen. The hit single You Can Call Me Al is a great song, that has a catchy rhythm and lyrics, and even a bit of funk. The album departs significantly to Simon's involvement in the folk band Simon and Garfunkel.
Free bird is undeniably a 5 with a great overall song as well as possibly the best guitar solo of all time. However, while the rest of the album is still full of great country rock music, I feel like it doesn’t flow amazingly and gets a bit repetitive.

Listening to the UK mono version of the album. Its sounds are dated, and the singing isn't amazing. However, the songwriting is very good, especially for its time. The instrumentals were pioneering for hard rock, and still hold up alright with classic rock music. Probably a 3.5 rating, but I'll give it a 4 for its history considering it is 1965. The title track is really good, and I also like the Ox, with some of its piano reminding me of Queen and the drumming is great. I also really like the song circles, although it's not technically a part of this album, included on the US but not UK version.
Love it. Great album all round. Every song is great, and Vienna is perfect.

Good soul music
I love the classic hip-hop, and the Beastie Boys are some of the best to do it. They're lyrics are great, and the beats are timeless. This album includes a great range of music, from some more standard hip-hop to plenty of instrumentals of different genres, and some heavier songs leaning into rock like sabotage.

Great live album. Singing witty songs to a roaring crowd in a prison is genius. The songs are really good, and some of the best country ever. While they do kind of sound the same, they're still great to listen to.

Pioneering punk rock, and still sounds very good. It's a bit dated at points, but the emotion and sound in the songs is good.

It’s some decent rock music but nowhere near as good as some of his other albums, and there were some not great songs.
Easy 5. While Kanye is certainly not one to be idolised, this album is banger after banger, where his musical genius really shines through. The collaborations are next level, featuring everyone from Jay-Z to Elton John. On top of that, his lyrics shine through constantly contrasting his aggressive ego with self introspection. To me, Power is the stand out song, being the best hype up song ever made.

Rest In Peace Dolly. An absolute icon, loved by everyone from all walks of life. On top of her charming personality and philanthropic efforts, Dolly Parton wrote and made some of the best country music. This album is a masterclass, bringing together three all time greats of classic country to make a beautiful soundtrack.
Very interesting album. The lyrics told a good story throughout, and were haunting in places, erotic in others, and downright weird some of the time. I also liked the instrumentation and the sounds developed quite a bit.
I'm still not sure exactly what makes a jazz album great, but I enjoyed this one so that counts for something.
That's certainly music. Slid right through one ear and out the other. I mean, it's got good production and sounds alright, but it's like a sculpture thats been sanded into a sphere.
