1001 Albums Summary

i can see why people might have been surprised by this in 1976, but its not 1976 so its kinda only ok to me

i love songs more than 5 minutes long i wish i knew what they were saying I love really ambient music like this, and long song have my heart

I know this album is supposed to be really amazing, but at first listen it didn't exactly stand out to me, there were interesting textures and nice vocals for the most part so I can't call it bad.

i like jazz and this album was very jazzy, but it honestly didn't stand out too much

i love folky stuff like this, I've lap been seing him everywhere now that I know he exists

I grew up around this kind of music so no matter how much different stuff I listen to, I'll always enjoy reggae like this a little bit, and who doesn't like bob Marley ?

i liked it, his voice was a little bit not good but it sounded nice

i love atcq and this album far surpassed what expectation I had, I can tell I'll have el segundo stuck in my head for the next few weeks

Radiohead I feel is only as amazing as people say it is, to people who haven't listened to anything else ever. I like them but this album didn't feel special to me

i couldn't do it, its like the aesthetics and vocals of modern country but 40 years ago and not country

its cute, i liked it but it again, didn't feel very special

it was nice but sounded the same for the most part, I enjoyed it more than I thought I would

it was so hot, so spooky and clunky in a good way, I felt like I could take apart each layer of sound and think about it. 10/10 I love pornography

i mean its just rock? I typically don't get swayed by an albums lyricism so that might be why it's up here, but sonically it was ok

it was much better than i thought, i read somewhere that britpop was somewhat reactionary to shoegaze (?) so i for some reason thought it'd feel more pristine in production value but it felt raw in a good way

it wasn't my thing but was super fun in sound, i just had to give it a 4

irrespective of my opinions on kanye as a person, this album was actually better than i thought

beautifully loud, i loved the layered vocals on some of the tracks

i loved it so much, his voice was amazing and the production reminded me of minimalism but almost progressive and lounge-y, everyone listen to it again
