1001 Albums Summary

great start. "you probably couldn't see for the lights but you were staring straight at me" is definitely underrated. might be my favourite arctic monkeys album.

a very raw and 90's album. iconic lyrics. "forgiven" is definitely top place for me. "in the name of the father, the skeptic and the son. i had one more stupid question."

the vocals on "come alive (war of the roses)" are insane. this was my first time listening to Janelle Monáe and i like the variation, range and vocals. will def listen to some songs again. absolutely in love with "57821".

beautiful album except "indian sunset". "goodbye" is an incredible song and an amazing closing track.

beautiful. i had never heard of war before so when i saw the name i assumed it would be metal. couldn't have been more wrong.

first time hearing of The xx or "XX". defined not bad but it feels like background music, not in a good way.

another first. not so so bad but honestly not memorable. i totally zoned out a few times. feels repetitive.

pretty enjoyable. 16 songs in 35 minutes is kinda insane.

interesting album. loved the back vocals on "we have heaven".

thought it was my first time hearing of "the beta band" turns out i heard them once in "high fidelity". i assumed i wouldn't enjoy the album much in the beginning but it surprised me. i thought there was a pretty good variety (might be because i listened to the second half at a different time).

this experience is making me realise i don't know a lot of artist lol. another first. not necessarily bad but i didn't enjoy it.

FINALLY something i actually wanted to listen to. love "a hazy shade of winter".

finally rock. the fact that this is a live performance is mind blowing.

i think this was the first time i searched up "elvis presley" on spotify. it was pleasanter than i expected.

love love love. especially "do you remember walter?", obsessed with how the pace changes within the song.

interesting but not really my genre. upon researching i learnt that it is a very political album.

very surprised that this came up as it's a pretty new album. while i am not a big fan of taylor swift as a person, i think i genuinely enjoy some of her music.

incredible album. just learnt that joe strummer was born in ankara.

a classic. love that it feels like they were playing this right next to me.

loved hearing latin rock after all the previous albums.

felt incredibly bored. made me doubt whether i actually liked listening to bob dylan or not. not a bad album necessarily but i definitely like his older stuff better.
