Felt derivative even for 1964?

Obviously there are some classics on here but it’s not very memorable overall and the “concept album” idea feels random.

Atlantic City will always be a banger but I have to say I lost interest as the songs started to blend together in my head.

Love the sound. I’ve Seen All Good People is transcendently good.

A very polished and consistent sound but wish there had been more playfulness in the arrangements. British accents really annoy me.

Girl From Ipanema is a pet hate of mine for idiosyncratic reasons. Theoretically I should vibe with the rest but find it kind of grating somehow.

Didn’t vibe with most of the production or the fact that almost every song was just horny nonsense

Had a lot more fun with this than I was expecting. Particularly liked the shower song.

Really tough listen for me. Not my style but also all the deliberate mouth sounds drove me insane.

Impeccable production, but not enough going on thematically to be 5 stars.

Notable for Justin Hawkins’s operatic vocals. Love the anthemic “Givin Up” in particular. “I Believe in a Thing Called Love” obv a classic.
