some of the best thrash metal out there with great technicality. i'd give 5 stars but dave's vocals bother me just a bit on some tracks

Although the verve were never my favourite britpop band, i must admit that this album in particular has a bunch of great tracks (not just the ever-so iconic bittersweet symphony, although it surely helps)

Nice jazz funk record, the title track clearly stands out here

I almost forgot how good their first album was, since I feel lukewarm at best about everything that they released after. A bit like the strokes, but make it british (not at all in a derivitive sense, though)

I can see why some people don't agree with this being on this list, especially when there is hardly any industrial on this list, and, as far as i know halber mensch isn't even on here? That wouldn't scare as many people away who haven't really heard much industrial. Anyway, i can appreciate this album for what it is, as a unique experience and as a piece of art

It's all right. Folk music of this era just never really resonated with me as much as I'd like it to. Not something I'll keep coming back to, except for a few songs maybe.

Definitely an enjoyable listen. However, apart from a few standout tracks it's not all that memorable
